Call Rosetta Stone and ask for their free CD. Preview it and see what you think. If you like it, you can order a Japanese CD. I'm learning Chinese and I love it. You don't have to attend classes and it's totally affordable!

Contact the Japanese Studies department at either UNC Chapel Hill, Duke or NC State. they will be able to direct you to a tutor.
