A really nice gift. He has every car and truck you can think of. He has a bike, a power wheels, a scooter, a work bench (although he's already outgrowing it) a basketball goal, a ball pit/jump-o-lene, a train table,sandbox, swing set, see-saw....
So any ideas?

Make a coupon book for him. He may like it so much he will want another one next year.
1) A trip to McDonald's.
2) $10 at the Mall.
3) One hour of Mom's time.
4) One hour of Dad's time.
5) Staying up one hour later.
6) 3 games of bowling for you and a friend.
7) One item of your choice at the grocery store.
8) A Ten minute push on the swing.

How about a dvd he might like for years(spiderman, animated shows like Thundercats or Transformers) Action figures are always good for a boy, we gave my daughter her 1rst portable cd player and some kids cds at 5. My daughter is 6 today and we got her clothes and a computer game.

Get something that uses brainpower or is creative. How about paints, a coloring book and crayons? How about Curious George? Dr Seuss? Berenstain Bears?
If there is a Discovery Store nearby, you can check with them for age-appropriate ways to expand the mind...

Take him to the zoo? Some kids who have everything, benefit from expiriences.
Or, I know several five year old boys who enjoy dressing up like superheroes. :-)
