I've heard teflon is not good for cooking on high heat. Aluminum may be associated with Alzheimer's disease. Iron significantly increases the iron content of the food. Bottom line, what is the safest cooking material (stainless steel?)

Cast iron if properly seasoned only increases the iron content by a micron so for saute and indoor grilling they are superior.

Stainless is excellent for all other applications but tends to warp if the bottom isn't thick enough for saute.

Enamel coated cast iron offers your most versatile and sturdy of the 3 - it can take extreme heat as well as slow cooking for pot roasts. Bottom line you should invest in a good Enamel coated cast iron for full versatility and best cooking options.

Good Luck!

Stainless steel is absolutely the best. That;s all I worked with for years cooking in a nursing home kitchen.
Cast iron is ok if treated and seasoned properly.

Stainless steel sounds like the safest bet, give yourself points for answering your own question. Oh yeah, and glass cookware is also safe. 2 points for me!

you can maybe try silicon or plastic. silicon wont melt in the pan and plastic wont scratch the pot or pans. Hope this helps.
