Yes. Some members of churches can be very racist against interracial families. This was my case I didn't try to change their opinion, I just went out and found a different and more tolerant congregation to worship with.

Yup!
I was booted from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That's right... Mormons don't want me hanging out with them. Forget all of the stories you've heard about people trying to "escape". Just act like me and they will MAKE you leave!

Here's the "why":

I live with a wonderful man. We have fantastic kids. In fact, our life is pretty good. We have ups and downs, like everyone... but more ups than downs.

The problem is, we are not married. We cannot get married at this point. There is no way I can change that at the present time. So, since I won't leave him (Which would leave my family without a main supporter, and more importantly would leave my children without their father), I was marked as an "unrepentant" sinner. Shortly after being told I shouldn't be living "this way", I was told I was no longer a member.

I still believe that the LDS church has a lot of good in it... and my beliefs about God still closely match those of members. But I am not allowed to come and fellowship with people of like beliefs because the church disagrees with my choice in men.

Of course, you can make your own decisions about whether this was right or wrong, and whether or not I had the right to be offended. But my opinion is, if you want to help someone you believe is sinning, isn't church the place you want them to be?

And now my rant is over. =)

The church will never reject you as a born again child of God. Or even as someone seeking Christ. But the members on the other hand, that have taken over. (Some things can creep in unaware.) Thats another ballgame.

Yes, I am an older person, about a few years ago I was gonig to this church, I went to bible study and when it was time for me to join the Pastor told me he did not want me as a member of his church and he would never baptize me. He would tell me this for about 3 years after every service, I finally let and joined a church were I am welcomed. I really feel sorry for someone that calls themself a pastor and will treat a christian this way.

Yes, several times in fact.

Once at a non-denominational church, because we were dressed as bikers, which we are.. the head of security caught myself and my husband and our daughter and told us we were scaring the congregation. Perhaps we could find somewhere else more "for us."

Once at a Baptist church, ( a small country church) when I went up to the pastor and asked him several points about his sermon. My husband told me later that the men came to him, and said, your wife is talking to the pastor. Doesn't she know that she isn't supposed to do that. You need to get her. My husband said, if she is bothering you, YOU go get her....I am a bit scared myself.

I have more stories, but I just praise God, that I found a home with kingdom believers who don't mind my Harley, and see with spirit filled eyes.

Yup. In my twenties my hubby and I were pretty poor and didn't have any money to tithe to our local church which was Lutheran. So instead of money we gave time, we kept the lawn cut in front of the church and cleaned trash up around it and helped out in general with day to day chores and every bake sale, rummage sale and etc that the church had. After about 8 months of being at the church nearly every day helping and such we received a letter from the pastors office. It stated that since they had not received our tithe for the year that we were being put on an inactive list for the membership and in another year they would consider us ex members if they didn't receive any monetary responce. Needless to say we never darkened their door again. Don't you just love that christian love.

This is difficult for me to share, but I need to be real and honest..No,I was not rejectected, but many years ago,my ex-wife had fallen into sin and had an extra-marital affair and I,as the leader of my family did not have my household in order,I was asked to step down as a member of the worship team(Lead Drummer)..I did so graciously and with the right attitute,as I understood and submitted to God's sovereign authority over my life. It is known as Church Discipline..I of course continued to fellowship there and eventually was asked to return to my position as lead drummer...

If one does not have his own household in order, how can he/she minister to others, effectively? This is very humbling to share this, but someone may need to hear it.

just like Jesus, I've been rejected by religion, for directing people to do God's Will (and You can too):

Have UnConditional Love and Peace by accomplishing this:
Create Your Relationship with Our Creator.

UnConditional Love and Peace is the only answer.
