I choose Dale because he's a real person and never came off corporate slick like Jeff. More like a sports hero to the working class who actually drove to work in their Chevys and had to lift the door when they shut it cause it was heavy and droops after a while.

For racing, Dale gets my vote because he is racer to the bone and went after it b a l l s out.

Dale was the best in racing on and off as Petty is one of the best on Gordon which i personally think sux just his homo pesonality but it a damn good racer thnx to hendrick motorsports if he had another team i dont think he would have done anything special ,,,,but i do give him credit he is in the top 5 for modern drivers Jimmy Johnson and stewart are better i think but that's just my opinion... Once Gordon Ties or beats The king and The intimidators cup titles no one will be close and Dale taught Jeff alot of the thing he knows now both on the track and off

Dale Sr. all the way. Total wins mean nothing.

Now everyone is looking at Jr. and Gordon.

Dale Jr. hasn't been a win-win situation since his dad passed. He knows how to race and I hope he gets the backing he needs to get the championship.

Everything seems to have fallen into Gordon's lap. I don't feel he has paid the same "dues" as Jr. has. He is an OK driver but a pain in the butt in everything else. He is way to "Hollywood" for NASCAR!!!

Jr. is one of the good old true Southern Racers, just like his daddy was!!!

Gordon is the better racer, didnt he just pass Earnhardt for his spot on the all time wins list. Gordon gets the nod, Earnhardt is still top 10, but he is no number 1.

I would have to say Dale because he didnt have to be fake like Gordon. Gordon has to pretty all the time, whereas, Dale didnt care what he looked liked. Dale was all about racing, Gordon is all about media and showing off to the women.

I think we have to understand that while they crossed paths, they created their legacies in different eras. There is NO way that Earnhardt would be allowed to drive today the way he drove when was competing. NASCAR would call him for "rough driving" and park him.
Gordon and Earnhardt both deserve all the praise they have received.
For all the Gordon "haters", just like at the facts and the results. You have got to respect him.

I am assuming you mean DE Sr. If you go by records there pretty equal. gordon has an unfortunate advantage if his career goes longer to break all DE's records.

Personally I didnt like either one of them. Whats the difference between the 3, 24 cars and a porcupine:

Porcupines have their pricks on the outside.

We all know who the greatest driver was. Try 200+ wins. Beat that.

Earnhardt. Gordon is decent but too "slick". Earnhardt connected with the working man.

I like Dale Jr better, but Jeff Gordon is a better racer than Jr is. You can't argue with statistics! Numbers don't lie!

Go RCR!!!!!
Jeff Burton!!!!!
