Are you not tired of predicting the future when our desicions today determine our own future? Or people that phone up or come and see you and is only interested in hearing their future?

I really feel a reading should be about the person here and now so they can create their own future open and without blockages. Yes certain things are just meant to happen and that i will say but questions like "will he phone me tomorrow?" or "when will i go on holiday?" does not always make sense to me.

What do you think?

I'm not any of those but I have (sort of) been reading about the Tarot. It's pretty open to interpretation based on the definition of the card you draw, but it sounds as if it's a great tool to help you focus/meditate on past, present and future events.
As to the others, I think it would be great to be sensitive to other people but I would think it would get tiresome when the questions seem repetitive or obvious.

Do I get tired? I would love to answer no I never do. I love reading I love divining. Sometimes yes I get tired, it gets very discouraging that these are the only answers some people are looking for. But I do it every time I am asked, because sometimes people have huge questions and they need answers and I can help them. Sometimes people hear the larger things that turn up in readings. Sometimes people come to me and they leave with more understanding about themselves.
Tarot will always give more than just a yes or no answer. Maybe people wanting to know "will he call me tomorrow" need these things out of the way to be able to see beyond that. I always give them more, it is up to them when they are ready to accept it.

a true sensitive ,,,or medium.....does not pretend ..the whole point of a genuine reading is to give you guidance ..the choice to follow a certain path is up to he individual ....having given readings myself ..i tend to point out all positive things and enhance that ,,,when i get a message direct from spirit i say it as it is ...truth is the only way to get real ...(tact and sensitivity also !_)you are so right when you say our decisions determine our future wether they be right or wrong ones ??that's how we learn ..maybe people that ask the sort of questions you've stated have not reached a point in their lives where their self esteem is on an even keel ...or it may be a confidence thing ...how many people when going through a crisis just want to be told "it will be okay" .....and need a hug ...i never get tired of of helping others that is why i am here .....xxx..peace........... xxxx..

If somebody wants to know the future and you get something for them... pass it on. If somebody wants to know about the past and there is something to tell them, tell them. To a psychic , past, present and future is an illusion. Rather than time passing we tend to experience beingness - a place where time doesnt exist. If a person is living in the future...it may be the only place you can reach them during a reading ( the same can be said for somebody who is 'living in the past') When somebody wants to know " will he phone me tomorrow?" you can always explain to that person what steps they need to take in order to increase the chances of getting that call. Good luck

Several years ago, I went to a psychic just for fun. She told me that there were people who wanted me out at my job. She told me she could "name names" but for $125 to make an astrological chart. Well, I didn't do that.

A month later, I saw this same psychic at my job (I worked in retail at the time), she asked me, how's it going? I felt like saying to her "Well, YOU'RE the psychic here. Tell us and we'll both know..." I kept that job 3 more years.

I'm with the Wiccan from an earlier post, you can divine your own future... you don't need to go to psychics...any more than Christians have to go to Church to be saved.

I agree. Maybe tomorrow I won't want him to phone me ever. However, some psychics who are really good are able to see things in a more objective manner than the person asking the question, and are able to say, if we continue with our current path of action, what the probable destination will be. Maybe anyone who is objective and wise can do that.

And this is why you SHOULD'T call Ms. Cleo for your free reading...

As a follower of the Wiccan religion, I'm a believer in divination- but not the "Tell me what my future husband will look like" kind of readings. To me, and everyone has their own beliefs, YOU are the best person to do "readings" for yourself. Not some crazy old bat who lives down the street.

And certainly not a fake Jamaican woman...

I get your meaning - very insightful. My usual layout is what I term a "spiritual guidance" reading. The cards are laid out in such a fashion as to determine:

*What you need to know about that you are unaware of.

*The (possible) best solution 'at this time'*

*Your strongest and weakest points 'at this time'*

etc.

(*Quantum Physics is fascinating on the subject of 'the future' - since at any point in time, one has different variables floating around - the outcome is based on which one comes into play at the moment of decision.)

Good Question! *Bless* SJ

Most of diviners/ psychics only give an advice based on situation & may warn of possible obstacles... they don't go around saying to anyone 'you will do x or y will happen'....

those who do (Sylvia Browne comes to mind as one of the proven fakes) take it upon themselves to try to impose their will on others. Any divination tool is merely there to aid with decisions, not to be the sole focus of one's life... just a means of advice when faced with various decisions...

King Saul was punished for going to a person that practiced fore telling and that is how David became the next king because of Saul's distrust.
