Door ajar switch in one of the doors is sticking, if it is the drivers door the chime will sound when you turn the key to the off position since it will think the door is open and the key is in the ignition switch. If it isn't the drivers door you can use a scanner that has body monitor functions to tell which door it is. If it is a pickup it will be easier just to replace both doors, if it is a car or a Windstar it will be worth the time to have it diagnosed. The switches can be cleaned with brake cleaner and a blow gun but I have personally found it worked better to replace them.

Spray penentrating oil on the inside latch of a door, open and close the door about 5 times holding the outside handle up, then go to the next door and do the same thing to each door, that should fix your problem
