Forgiveness is an act of self-love. You will be trapped emotionally and physically until you learn to forgive.

I used to think so until several someones really did a bad, bad, bad thing to me and mine. I desired to be forgiving, but it did not come as easily as I had hoped. It took me many years on that one. I think what took so long, even in my spirit, was the hurt and anger. That hindered the forgiveness ... anger and fear are really poison to the spirit, because it retards it. Anyway, long story short, it's sometimes easier said, and even desired than it is to actually do it. But to want to is a great beginning. I finally learned to pity them, first. And stopped thinking about myself so much. Then I was able to move along to the next step of forgiving.
To actually forgive someone is in experience to allow that thing or that person go through your mind harmlessly. Not until that happens is the act of forgiving complete.
I do think the experience helped me to learn this... the hard way, of course. LOL

No.........sometimes forgiving is hard for me but usually after I have had time to rethink the situation........I do end up forgiving. I keep telling myself that if God can forgive me for all my sins than I shouldn't be so hasty to forgive others.

Acid corrodes the vessel it is carried in .... so does jealousy, hatred, envy destroy the peace of the person who harbours such negative emotions. Hence we must learn to forgive and forget for our own good. It is a practical advice.

holding grudges only hurts yourself and others. I can't think of one person I can't forgive. Unless someone hurt my friends, I'm usually very forgiving.
Forgive and forget. Life is so much easier that way.
