Hispanic activists are planning to boycott all non-hispanic owned businesses in Prince William Co. Va for a week, starting this monday. I plan on travelling to Prince Wm. to have my daughter do her school shopping, even though it's a bit of a drive . How about you? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070825/ap_on_re_us/illegal_immigrants_services;_ylt=AqHoNMr8jHSNbru.DNEhJa1vzwcF

I can't get there myself, but I can still purchase some stuff from that county .. I'm going to search and see if I can buy online from stores based in Prince William Co ...

I thought it was only the many-race Americans who are racist in this thing? Why are they only boycotting businesses owned by "non-Hispanics"?

Where's the ACLU to protect the the Asian, Arab, Irish, and Italian business owners?

Everyone in the ACLU and their supporters should be lined up and shot.

I know there's an illegal alien in NJ who likes to shoot people in the back of the head, and hey, he's already used to biting the hand that feeds him ..

Well that is pretty racist of them isn't it? Boycott Non-Hispanic owned businesses. Where is the ACLU on this screaming how do you know they are Non-Hispanic owned?
They certainly like to ask the how do you know they are illegal question. Is this now going to become like Nazi-Germany where the store owners painted signs on their windows?

Don't you just love the "It's a racist reaction" line.
Funny the law does not say anything about "Hispanics" it says "illegal immigrants" Now why is it the Hispanics are always the ones to jump up and cry foul? Is it because they know they are the problem and it is they that will be affected the most?
The article, although it does inform you of what is about to take place, is so typical of the liberal, bleeding heart MSM tripe. Does not mention one word about how much the influx of illegals has cost the taxpayers of that community. Does not mention one word about the negative affects. All they print is illegal alien "A" says poor me, will I still be able to get free healthcare and illegal alien "B" says we just want a better life

Quite frankly, I don't care what they have to say.

Be that as it may. Let them boycott. Last time they tried that in LA Walmart reported that sales were down by 5% but shoplifting was down by 50%

Edit: "M" did not mean to offend and I did not comment on "liberals" the comment was aimed at the MSM (Mainstream Media) and how they only present one side of the story and try to illicit sympathy for illegals while ignoring the feelings of legal residents.

I just read the article and my head is spinning.

Martinez says "We were all thinking there would be Amnesty declared by the federal government"

Martinez's sister says "People say we are going to another state." I tell them," No we have to fight."

Well I have an idea, go back to your own country and fight for your rights cause illegals have no right to be here.

And their one day strike in October , I hope the employers stick together and fire every last one of them.

Way to go Lori, I wish I could shop with you, just went on map quest and I am 4 hrs away, up here in Hazleton Pa. Going to a rally tomorrow, to wake up our politicians. Keep up the good work.

Ines Olivia Martinez wonders if her family will be denied medical care

Were they denied medical care in Mexico? Who's responsible for providing the medical care in Mexico?

How's the job situation in Mexico? Why aren't there good paying jobs available in Mexico? Who's responsible for the job situation in Mexico?

Haven't the "libs" and unions been complaining that we are "shipping" all of our jobs overseas and south of the border? If so, why does anybody feel the need to illegally cross the border to work in the US?

What's the penalty for breaking the law in Mexico? Why should Mexican citizens expect any enforcement differences from what they would get in Mexico?

Does the US Constitution apply in Mexico outside of the US Embassy?

Why should a Mexican who broke the law to get here and pays little or no taxes to support the system get any benefits from it? Why should an illegal alien be entitled to get in front of those who have gone through the process legally?

Just a few questions for the "bleeding hearts" out there...

I would be happy to go with you if I still lived in the area. I was just in VA visiting my sister and her family. I was surprised watching the news how bad the illegals were there. My sister says it just keeps getting worse.

I hope your daughter finds some really wonderful buys and you enjoy your day together.

RG: Don't make generalizations about liberals, because THIS liberal wants every last one of those cockroaches caught, fined, deported, and fenced out.

They always want to show how much illegals are spending but they never point out how much is being spent on their medical, dental, state aid, food stamps, housing, child care, education and legal services. They need to give it up and stop acting like the victim. Americans are tired of flipping the bill when our own children and elderly can't get the services they need.

Yes, steps like this must be taken to help curb illegal immigration. People must remember we do not owe illegals anything.
