Of course, I'm generalizing, but why is it that the Christians on answers are going out of their way to say Michael Vick should be forgiven? They're condoning what he did in a roundabout way like that Maurice guy. This is part of the beef I have with Christianity. The universe wasn't created for people and it doesn't revolve around people and it's arrogant to think that. Before you say "they're just animals," think about the fact Humans are animals too. They feel pain and they have emotions just like people. Torturing and killing dogs is sick.

of course, you're generalizing...how could an anti-Christian rant be composed WITHOUT generalizing? on to michael vick...no, the concept of forgiveness does NOT equal condoning anything...in a roundabout way or in ANY way to suggest otherwise is at best illogical and at worse dishonest...what he did, the activities he admitted to taking part in were heinous and despicable! we have courts and laws set up to handle this type of thing, and i think we should allow the process to work...as for the question of 'can he ever play in the nfl again, can he ever be forgiven, that sort of thing?' his nfl career is up to the league and his team...anyone has the potential for forgiveness, everyone has the capacity to change...that is a fundamental thing with God!
i find it interesting that the level of public condemnation of michael vick I've seen goes beyond what i've seen for people who commit violent crimes against people...what do folks want? the death penalty???? I'm not going to try to excuse anything he and his accomplices did by saying 'they were just dogs'...I've had dogs with me my entire life...but i have a problem with people who cannot see the difference between a human lif and a canine one-

As individuals we can forgive Vick but as to the government and the NFL...

Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.

Any Christian that condones what happen in that case has forgotten that we were to take care of the animals.
As far as this Christian Preacher is concerned he has or will receive his just punishment.
Besides that he doesn't need my forgiveness he needs God's.

Michael Vick ruined his career. I do think all people deserve a second chance. Jesus gave us a second chance when he DIED FOR US!
