of course....BUT DON'T.
You'll be sorry. I've never met anyone who hasn't eventually regretted getting a tatoo. Imagine being 80 years old with the permanent markings of your younger years. (Imagine your grandma with it.)

i would guess it depends on what type of surgery... i had surgery when i was 3 and i got a tattoo... unless your asking about scars.. you can still get a tattoo over a scar well most scars.. it may hurt more depending on how sensitive the scar is..but def talk to the artist before hand.

why would previous or future surgery hinder you from getting a tattoo? pretty much everybody can get tattooed unless their body has problems healing and even then as long as they take extra good care of it.

Of course you can. Might not want to tattoo over scar tissue since it's basically a bunching of fused nerves that can be very painful when reinjured but you have plenty of other skin on your body.

Yes. Never mind that idiot that tells you not to get one. Lot's of people get tattoo's to celebrate or remember significant events in their lives, never to regret getting it. Just make sure you choose your artist wisely.
