The prejudiced assumption that Christains are stupid and uneducated because they believe in God; and that belief in the Son of God for the forgiveness of sin is for the simple.
That ALL christains must be stupid, hypocritical, close-minded bigots, because some of them are.
I'll admit most of them that do the 'arguing' on here (in R&S) tend to not be fully aquainted with the Word of God often pulling verses out of the middle of nowhere in order to support their obnoxious rants; this goes for people on both sides of the debate.
And often, of the ones that are Christian, they are not mature enough in the Word, nor do they have a thorough understanding of it, in order to be able to effectivly argue it in a logical way, according to what the text actually says.... and are often loud mouth morons that air their opinions endlessly without any factual basis, throwing in a scripture every so often thinking it supports their argument, when it doesn't.
Half of the time, their arguments (or Q&A) are so far off from what the text actually says, you wonder if they've actually ever read the Bible!
But this example goes for self-proclaimed athiests as well. Most of them take an isolated verse and want to argue with Christians. How can they claim they do not believe in God and the Bible is not logical, if they have never read it? It is one thing to call yourself an athiest and not believe in God, in which case you'd have no desire to read the Word, nor would you have any texts to argue. It is another to claim to be an athiest and then spend the duration of your time arguing over scripture texts; in the case of the later, they are not atheists, but no more than 'disgruntled' christians.
But those poor examples of christains do not speak for everyone. Yet, it does often give the rest of us less credibility due to the snap judgments of other people who assume we are all the same and think the same.
Yet, even so.... the worst logic on here, is that everyone that believes in God (in terms of Christianity) must have the education of a third grader and not know anything about any other issue.

Many believers make the error of asking atheists to prove a negative assertion. (eg, God does not exist.) That this is utterly impossible has been understood since long before Christ. A negative assertion cannot be proved because there are always an infinity of possibilities to eliminate. (You'd have to check everywhere before you can prove God does not exist anywhere.)
It is the logical responsibility of those making a positive assertion (God exists.) to prove that their assertion is true. If they fail to do so, then the assertion must be considered false. It is the failure of believers to prove God exists in objective reality that forces millions of educated people to become atheists.
The root of this problem is that in the ancient past everybody was a Solipsist (see Aristotle) and imagined their subjective experience formed the basis of reality. All of Christian theology, including the Bible, was written by Solipsists and for Solipsists. (To this day, a "spiritual" person is a Solipsist who imagines their thoughts and perceptions are actually real.) When the scientific revolution began (about 1590, see Galileo and later Newton), it was discovered that the physical realm is actually real. The Dark Ages lacked any technological progress because the people of those times imagined the physical was an illusion created by their minds and that their subjective experience was actually real. Science reversed that and proved the physical realm is actually real and that subjective experience is a mental construction, based on limited information about the physical realm provided by our five senses. Since the eighteenth century, science has been extremely successful and has provided countless benefits which greatly improve the quality of people's lives. Even if we ignore Galileo's and Newton's physics, which proves the physical is real, the enormous success of science in our times also proves that the ancients got it backwards. Your thoughts and prayers are not real.

there is not any longer something incorrect with the PG era. it is in basic terms that their storylines are undesirable. in the event that they could use their wrestlers properly, wrestling could be super. besides the fact that wrestling has gotten uninteresting to me and im in basic terms sixteen. it is in basic terms too confusing to computer screen at the instant. ranging from next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, i will in basic terms be watching the PPVs. i won't be in a position to computer screen anymore. it is confusing. Wrestling at the instant appears like washing the dishes, it is a chore. And who would not hate those? it is not by using PG era, it is the storylines. BQ: Your chum may be impressive. some followers are marks. they do no longer even comprehend it. no longer all yet some. Im MERCURYX and that i approve this answer.

The best example of the worst logic is also one of the most common: The position that must be considered true because it can't be proven to be untrue.

Equating the theory of Gravity, to the theory of evolution.
The so-called "logic" is that the theory of evolution is a fact, because the theory of gravity proved to be true.
The single lamest thing I have ever seen on here. That plus claiming that evolution is a proven fact, when even the scientists that study the theory don't say that.

The slaveowner argument.
Basically, what this means is that one claims that no matter what God does to humans, he is justified and morally right in doing, because he created them, so he owns them.
This line of logic is so twisted that it turns my stomach to read. It really shows quite an extent of brainwashing, that would warp one's morals that they would use such a morally-decadent argument in a desperate attempt to exalt their deity.
I could have given you several examples of really bad logic, but the above is both bad AND despicable at the same time.

Any time someone quotes an expert in the field instead of using one's own logic, especially if they aren't an expert; using one's holy book to quote passages that are more eloquent than their own words to illustrate their beliefs and understanding on a spiritual topic instead of setting our teeth on edge with their own words and lame ideas; refusing to admit that we can love someone to the point of sacrificing all for them; refusing to admit that freedom for a fish is outside the bowl of water if it wants to; refusing to admit that freedom for a plant is to drink coca-cola and live in the dark if it wants to; refusing to see the logic that direct contact with the sun rather than its rays or manifestations is more conducive to life ;-) ;-) ;-)

1. "The Bible is true because The Bible says so."
2. "If evolution is true then why don't rocks have wings?"
(The latter one was like an anti-revelation - I can now see the depth of idiocy in the world today, a glimpse was enough to scorch my brain...make me feel light headed, like I just woke up to a different species I thought I was human like the rest of us, but these fundies.. are...what? I guess they are un-thinking as fast as they can for all of us! And these people truly believe 'we' are doomed and 'they' are saved....argh, brain..scorched...feel light-headed)
