Very few animal control agencies will come out and trap cats for you. However, many will lend you the traps to do it yourself. You bait the trap, catch the cat, and bring the trap and cat in to the shelter.
Another way is to get a dog. I never have cats on my property.

I understand your concerns, but rescue groups generally say that if you have a property that is attrative to stray cats, you will continue to get stray cats there. Try some of the deterrant ideas other people have suggested. See if any of your local rescues have a trap, neuter, return program to at least keep your cat population from growing. The only thing you can really do to avoid an endless stream of stray cats is to figure out how to make your property less attractive to them.

ok first these types of drugs are not sold to the public but wouldnt work anyhow.. they only make the pets goggy and are not instant - the cat would eat it then wander off before 'resting'

its better to rent cat traps from your city or local pound or call the animal control people to set traps..

or if the cats are friendly simply catch them by hand...

then take them to the local shelter (if you are not sure where - call a vet and they will tell you who takes the strays in your area)
removing them to a different area is illegal and you can be charged with theft and abandonement and possibly cruelty too...
as such I am saying to take them to the pound or wherever.. they will try to reunite them with their owner who will have to pay a fine and be told to control their pet better - or may be adopted out to new owner - under the advice to keep it inside or be euthanized humanely...

Ok, and if these strays actually belong to your neighbors? Then what?

Use mothballs in small bags and hang them around the place, cats avoid that pretty well.

But unless they're doing damage to your property, why not just leave them alone? They're all passing through, doing whatever cat things they do. None are staying there 24/7 are they?

Do you mean knock them out or euthanize them aka "Put to Sleep" "PTS"?????

Why don't you get a humane trap and put some KFC in there. They can't resist that. Meat only, though, no cooked bones.

Try using some citrus spray or put orange peels around your house. Cats don't like citrus scents.

instead of trying it yourself, why don't you just call animal control, they will come out and catch for you, if you try some PRODUCTS that allegedly knock them out then you may end up hurting them, and that's not nice.call animal control
