I notice that a lot of mental illness involves huge, random emotional swings. Could it be that the part of the brain involved with emotions is fairly new and not fully developed. It does seem that humans have a greater range of emotions than animals, as if that part of our brain is more developed allowing a greater range of emoitons. Is this a valid arguement.
