I want to look up the lyrics and this is the only part I can remember, I want to sing it all day :) I am sincere about this, I am 56 and my brain is heading down the same path as my old body, or "today I think I am wearing my head sideways" or "senior moment here' :) thanks for all the help I get on here in all categories. Winne as my grands call me

This is the Refrain. The song actually begins with, 'O soul, are you weary and troubled?' by Helen H Lemmel (1864-1961) . The music also by Helen H Lemmel. Tune 9.8.9.8.Ref.

I will return with the site for the lyrics and the music played by organ and piano.

I got it. It's hymn number 290 in this hymnal. You are free to investigate the other 600 hymns and the played music.

At the protestant church I used to go to, we only sang the refrain of this song. Here it is in total:

TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS
Words and Music by Helen H. Lemmel
1922

O soul are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There's light for a look at the Saviour,
And life more abundant and free.

Refrain
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His Glory and Grace.

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion -
For more than conquerors we are!

Refrain

His Word shall not fail you - He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell.

Refrain

I haven't sung hymns in church for about 20 years but I remember the next word is "don't ..." followed possibly by "let" but I'm not sure. I can hum the melody but that's no help here though. and now I'm gunna have that stuck in my head, aarrgh.

What you theory became incredibly significant to you - the failings of this earth (that new vehicle, that advertising, your concerns, etc.) - will no longer have the comparable luster and shine interior the attitude of God's love and elegance for us. we ought to difficulty approximately extra significant issues - there's a resetting of our priorities and attitude.
