It may be an infantry close combat badge, a picture would help. This has a knife or bayonet crossed with a "stick grenade" above a swastika. You'll need to look fairly closely to tel its the grenade & not a knife.

Bear in mind that for every genuine nazi badge there are at least two fakes (or replicas) - and for every highly collectable one there's a dozen or more fakes - and often no way to tell the difference.

The first replica iron crosses appeared within a month of the war ending - and were identcal to originals, as they were made in the same factory as the originals - for sale as souvenirs to US servicemen.

So, unless its provenance can be can be proven by its connection to the original recipient, it isn't worth much.

If its a Maltese Cross shape with crossed swords and vertical pin to the rear it could be a Kriegsverdienst Kreuz / War Service Cross in first Class.

If it is an oval badge, with a pin to the rear with a helmet in the center with a swastika on it with two swords its a nazi wound badge they came in Black, Silver and Gold.

A Picture is a must for certain identification.

If the swastika is overlayed on a helmet, and the two swords are crossed behind it pointing up, it would be a Wound badge, their version of the Purple Heart. Need a pic to know for sure.

Post a photo and you're going to get a really accurate answer, but for now I'll say it's a WWII german infantry badge.
