hey. i've never used perfume before, lack of funds and all that, but i think it'd be fun to start hunting around for a signature scent, just buy one bottle. im 20. ive read up on some basics. are there certain types of perfume that go better with certain body types, skin types, etc? or should i just go and sample all kinds of different ones and then come back and pick something to buy?

it certainly depends on you skin chemistry so try all kinds. You can treat it as an adventure - one day try 4 kinds - one on each wrist and one on each inner elbow bend. Walk around for an hour or so - sniff them - see what you like - see how long they last - ask a friend which she prefers - ask a guy friend or guy stranger - keep repeating the experiment with different ones until you the perfect one

different perfumes smell better on different people. it all has to do with your own personal "smell." I personally like a clean fruity scent (Escada into the blue) My advice would be to go to sephora or a department stroe and tell them what smells you like (fruity, clean, floralvanilla) etc. They should be able to help you find one, its their job to know how perfumes smell.

P.S. many perfumes that you see in the dept. stores are over priced. I got britney spears curious for $10 at walmart and it was $30 at Macys!

hope this helps
