In the US, the E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) is a comprehensive test on engineering fundamentals and is required before the P.E. (Professional Engineer) certification.
You can take the EIT as you're finishing up your degree...

There are entrance exams after Class XII to get admission in Engineering at Graduate Level. Eg. AIEE at all India Level and MH-CET conducted by the Maharashtra STate Govt. Other States also have their own entrance exams.
For entry at the Post Graduate level you need to give entrance exam called GATE.
Alternatively Diploma in Engineering is offered after Class X by the Technical Boards in all the states.
Please clarify further for details.
AMIE which is equivalent to Engineering can be done after completion of Diploma in Engineering from Institution of Engineers.

Hey there are many exams for engineering students let me give some of them.
Exams related with core studies are
1.GATE.
2.TANCET.
3.IES.
Exams related with Business management are
1.CAT.
2.MAt.
3.XLRI.
4.JET.
The exams listed above are the possible exams that a engineering student can attend in India and these are just the important ones.
There are few more and they don't offer much good future as these do..

You can appear for GATE exam if you aspire to do post graduation in engineering.You can appear for CAT if you want to join IIMs.

exams are conducted every 6 months for BTech/BE degree and are easy to some extent. post engg. exams are GATE enterance for MTech/ME degree.
for MBA: CAT XAT MAT etc are exams .
