To Felixthecat
Seeing ghosts has nothing to do with Satan they are not conjured up from him, he is non existant.
If you want to know more about ghosts & spirits do a search on yahoo or google on the supernatural and not from the bibles point of view as this is what the bible is for. The bible was created to control hordes of people, and force them to believe and follow a creature down the wrong path. I mean you do not actually know if Christ was a good guy or not. It's only what that book tells you.
If it is true how can you not be sure that Christ was not the Devil after all God cast Satan down to Earth. Also how do you really know for sure that Mary did not have sex with an Incubus. In mythology an Incubus was known to impregnate women. That could be the so called Holy Ghost for all you know.

I believe that all legends and myths are based in some truth.
Count Dracula is based on Vlad the impaler
Zombies come from the Afro-Caribbean spiritual belief system of Vodou. A great movie is the serpent and the rainbow.
The association of Knossos to the legend of the Minotaur.
There are so many that can be traced back to a "real" source.
So all i can say is what maybe fantasy today, could be tomorrows reality
I am not religious at all, i just seek the truth within the lies.

i think of that in case you solid a great internet (bypass outdoors the church you attend), you will discover that there are a number of Christians who consider you. immediately, in maximum mainline church homes, all of us be responsive to that plenty, if not maximum, of the Bible is written in metaphor. and that's no marvel, provided that that subculture, which includes the widespread Arabic human beings, has a tendency to communicate even prose in a poetic type. At this element. maximum to blame and counseled Biblical pupils know that the Bible did not merely get written at some point, yet what we've immediately is a thick layering of comments on thoughts, and enhancing has been completed to tell the tale the editor meant, and it extremely is an exceptionally grand tale. How else to describe the presence of two completely distinctive thoughts of advent positioned appropriate next to one yet another on the commencing up of Genesis? those metaphorical thoughts at the instant are not effortless for the strategies to hold close. they're in actuality so diffused that finished denominations exist that completely turn their backs on the metaphor and poetry of the Bible, insisting that the texts are literal!!! nicely, i think of that is going a sturdy way in the direction of answering your question. some human beings know the metaphorical content cloth on the Bible, and others do not, and whichever way they suspect, it is the way they attempt to examine and prepare the Bible. on the tip of the day, the two facets have their strengths and weaknesses.

Don't believe in medusa, vampires or zombies because they are all man made beings. Even though Adam & Eve were created by God first, Noah and David come with a complete geneological ancestral background of who their families were. I don't believe I've seen an ancestral chart on the ones you've mentioned.

I believe 100% in God the Father,God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, They did, do, and always will exist. All you basically are, thinking wise, is in the same category as those who knew the world was flat. I am not condemning you just because you have not experienced the supernatural, it just means you have not discovered the truth for yourself as of yet. But it does not mean that you will never learn the truth and as far as I can tell everyone goes through that form of thinking at some time in their life. Take care and may God bless you Spiritually.

P.S. I will pray for you.

Ok, first of all, I believe the Bible to be the truth. That's what I believe. If it's the truth, then the "stories" written in them are true. Literally. They are history kept from generation to generation.
What I'm confused about mostly here, is that there are "Christians" on here saying they are not "true stories" that they are merely "metaphors". What? You don't believe the ADAM AND EVE story???? Then, you don't really believe that God created them, and us??? What is THAT about, people? Of course they are true. And God really did create the heavens and the earth, and Adam and Eve. Jesus even refers to these "stories." He said He was there when it happened.

No, I don't believe in vampires and zombies, etc. They're not in the Bible. I do, however believe in Evil spirits and demons.

I do believe in the Biblical stories, although when I was a kid, some of the kids who went to catholic school (friends of mine - I'm not catholic) told me they were taught that the Bible is a 'religious storybook'. They seemed to think that the stories may not have actually occurred and that they were simply conceived to make a point or teach a lesson. For my part, I believe those things did happen, but frankly, it doesn't matter -- the point was we need to know what the stories are teaching. It is anticlimactic today whether Jesus walked here or there when you think about it -- that's just minutia. About the vampires and zombies -- I think they are fiction, however, I feel that they are very real to those who subscribe to that dark, evil venue...I believe that those who 'see' these things (along with ghosts and evil spirits of all varieties) are telling the truth -- but these are phenomena created by the Devil himself, Satan -- he gets into people's psyches and causes them to see these dark apparitions...it's like hallucinating...When you are God driven, you don't permit those things to get into your mind -- so for me that's just the stuff of silly, fictional horror flicks...Bottom line -- when you think about it ALL of it is 'imaginary' -- as a Christian, I walk by faith, NOT BY SIGHT, and so I believe in something I can't actually see...

If we study Bible and its history, it is true that certain things they have included as myths and popular stories. all theological seminaries teach myth as myths and history as history now. There was a time when people are forced to believe bible as 100% truth, god given and unquestionable.
If we read the European Books we can see the base and explanations of BIble. Those who are not getting that books/extracts still continue to believe like that.

I take Jesus's teachings as great to lead a good life in this world. I can not live a life exactly like that. But it is a blue print for me. All other books I leave as it is!

There are different thinkers and philosophers who hold great bible evaluations!

Medussa is mythology, vampires are from man's imagination, same thing possibly. Zombies exist through voodoo. The things in the Bible come from a credible source as we know that it was authored by God and written through men, just like a CEO of a company dictating a letter to his secretary.

There is a spiritual side to life that has things that nobody can understand or control, even if they think they can with spells and spreading raccoon entrails around. That being said, I think that sometimes folks who like to dabble in areas they shouldn't dabble in come into contact with spirit beings. This is where I think the vampire and zombie stories come from. Christians are not to make an effort to become involved in these activities.

If Adam, Noah and David were not actual historical characters, then Luke and Matthew were liars.
They claim the ancestry of Jesus goes back to them.
The Apostle who made the largest contribution to the NT is also a liar, since he refers to those people as actual personnages.
The author of the Bible is also a liar, since He claims His word is truth.
The real question should be:
On what legitimate basis do you doubt?
Hopefully, you have more than just personal opinion, or hearsay.
