The land of nod silly. The Jews always considered themselves as being the only real humans. Look at the way they treat the Palestinians. Prisoners in their own country.
Other people existed, the Jews just didn't consider them important enough to mention in their scripture.
Love and blessings Don

See the Bible does not always say things the way it realy was its more in a form that ppl can understand easier and then there is the way that stories and legends were told in that time. I believe that Adam is more like a group of men that god created meaning the first MEN on earth are seen as a whole in the form of Adam and the same for Eve. Now Kane and Able could have been Two tribes or groups with different spirituality that fromed from the children from Adam and Eve. So they Kane and Able had different ways to worship God. And maby that was the reason for the forming of two tribes. But this is my opinion of the whole thing i have spoken to a few educated ppl about it and it seems that it could be a possibility. Its your choice what u want to believe or how u interpret the bible. Use it dont use it thats my motto

Well god didnt! Humans evolved over a period of millions of years, thats generally accepted as scientific fact.
Creation Myths existed and still do, in all cultures all over the world. The Adam and Eve story is another example.
Essentially, a lot of it boils down to the fact that the Hebrews originally lived in Mesopotamia, and were heavily influenced by the more advanced culture of the mesopotamians.
Thus much of Jewish, Christian, Islamic belief has been influenced in this way. The Flood/Noah story is a prime example, it is a Sumerian legend, predating the jews, the god who created the flood was ANU, head of the Sumerian pantheon, Noah was actually a Sumerian called Nu, or Atrakhasis....however this has come down into christianity because the early Hebrews picked this story up from the Sumerians,Assyrians, Babylonians etc and incorporated it into their culture. In addition the story of the birth and finding of Moses is EXACTLY the same as that of Sargon of Akkad, however Sargon predated moses by some 1300 years, having lived in mesopotamia in 24th Century BC!
Im a christian myself, but any Christian, Jew or Muslim who takes these stories literally is obviously not that bright, and has never studied ancient history.
ADAM AND EVE DID NOT EXIST! PLEEEEASE!

A good question, and one that Jews Christians and Muslims..ie the religions that all stemmed from Abraham (and I suppose Adam and Eve if you believe that) all seem to ignore, change the subject or talk about "mysterious ways".
I think that you just have to remember that the Old Testament is a collection of myths dating back 3000-6000 years or so. These myths were originally passed on by word of mouth, which down the years turns out a bit like Chinese Whispers. These myths were eventually written down, and then copied time and time again. Each time it was copied the copier would add or take away little bits and pieces depending on his/her interpretation of events, or fashions/beliefs of the time.
So what I'm saying really is.....Take the Old Testament with a Huge pinch of salt!
Its a cracking read, it really is.....Sex, violence, murder and mayhem, along with a fair bit of moralizing, and probably every vice under the sun. Just don't take it literally.

Sure thing. Ok, i know this will sound very wrong to you, but Adam and Eve had more children, and in essence, then children had children with themselves. Now i know this sounds completely wrong, but, at that time, there was no defects that would occur when having children with your own family members. So, they had children with each other, and at that time, there was no law from God saying they couldn't. This affect continued until God told the people, that they could no longer do this. By that time (after the flood) there was sufficient people to go forth and populate the world without breaking this law. This is also where we got the languages from. Don't forget evolutionists, before you go smashing me down, according to you, it's the same thing. Just from single cell life forms, not humans right off

Adam and Eve didn't only have 2 children. They had hundreds. Which was very viable during this time. People lived hundreds if not thousands of years. The Bible only records Cain and Able because of the the sin that takes place (where Cain murders Able). Its Gods story of jealousy and bitter sibling love to us.
Yes Cain had to sleep with his sister in order to have their first child Enoch.
Sometimes the Bible can seem very 2-D... That is why I opt for the the "un-translated" Hebrew and Greek...

God created humans in large numbers before Adam and Eve without any sex restrictions for the sole purpose of multiplying the human race in a short time span. Then the story about Adam and Eve is told about the bloodline of the human race that God started to give sexual restrictions to. The bloodline of both these human groups exist today.

All people descended from the sons of Noah after the flood:
Genesis 9:19,20 Now the sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japeth. And Ham was the father of Canaan. These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.
Genesis 10:32 These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to the generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were divided on earth after the flood.

Their third son's name was Seth. They had other son's and daughters. The Bible doesn't mention God creating other people but the Bible does tell us that after killing his brother God put a mark on Cain and cast him out of the Garden of Eden and he wandered until he came to the land of Nod where he took himself a wife. God created other Gardens after the Garden of Eden and other people after Adam & Eve.

Genesis 5:4 indicates Adam had a slew of children ....male and female.
Having sex with your sister may seem a bit repulsive to us, but it can produce children.
Plus, if one of the boys grew up, left home, made a life and came back to see an 18 year old girl he never knew ....although his sister, oooh la la!
