Not trying to offend anyone, I'm just curious, as to why you believe. Where does your faith come from?

Personally, it is a real experience with God...not just words or ideas.
You can have that too, if you ask.

Firstly, If anyone is offended by that they aren't a Christian.
Secondly, What makes me believe is 1. I've read the Bible and the Miracles Jesus did and I realised just how amazing it is that He (Jesus) was willing to obey His Father even to the point of dying the most horrible death knwon to man. and 2. I've seen miracles in modern day life, for example my friend busted his ankle playing Roller Hockey. When he went to a Crhistian Youth Festival here in England called Soul Survivor, he jumped up out of his wheelchair and ran around the perimeter of the Marque. I also know of other miracels, but it will take too long to type it all out.

Hope this has answered ur question,

For years I was an alcoholic. I drank just for the purpose to get drunk! That was an every day occurance for me. I went to an AA meeting and didn't like what I felt, uncomfortable, you know? Then I got into a Bible Study, just because the woman that I was living with got into one. I mean, why not. What could possibly go wrong with increasing my knowledge. As I got to know the God of the Bible, I found out that I could have a personal relationship with Him. He has a name and everything! Just to show me how much He loves me, He took the alcoholism away for me! One night I went to bed drunk, and the next morning I woke up sober! There were no after effects. No shakes, no withdrawals, and no cravings for the stuff. That was almost 7 years ago and I am still sober. I praise Him always for everything that He has done for me!

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I am convinced there is life after death for one reason: Jesus Christ died and was placed in a tomb—and three days later came back to life.

Think about it a moment: What would it take to prove to us that there is life after death? The answer is clear: Someone would have to die, and then come back to life again. It wouldn't be enough for them to have a so-called "near-death" experience; their death would have to be real. And it wouldn't be enough for only one or two people to see them; it would require many witnesses.

But has this ever happened? Yes—when Jesus Christ rose from the grave! His death was real; hard-bitten Roman guards made sure He was dead before they took Him down from the cross. And His resurrection was real also, because hundreds saw Him during the next forty days. Paul, writing over 25 years later, noted that "he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living" (1 Corinthians 15:6).

How could this happen? It happened because Jesus Christ was not just another man. He was God's only Son, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. Only He could say, "I am the resurrection and the life. ... Whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25-26). This can be your hope, by giving your life to Christ today.

I really don't know if my life is special or if everyone has had supernatural events in their lives as well. But the events in my personal life has directed me with my consent to the truth. And I receive daily from the spirit realm, The things I have received no one can convince me of otherwise. I cannot convince anybody to believe on my personal experiences but it really makes me wonder if other people simply take for granted the things I experience. Well either way I am a very content and happy believer,Thank-you very much.

Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

I used to doubt my faith a fair be, and i am still open to constructive reason. The things that have tended to make me believe the bible and the Christian message are:
-seeing people being able to speak in other languages they have no idea are, nor anyone else
-seeing people being healed before my eyes, not the ooh, i have a scab please heal me, i'm talking about where they can't walk, and a week later there running around their house which they haven't been able to do for years.
-hearing prophesies over my own life, and watching them slowly unravel
that's what gets me believing in the biblical message.

My journey began on the night I was planning my own suicide. I had hit rock botton - drugs, alcohol, sex - I couldn't fill my life fast enough with the emptiness of my addictions.

God reached out to me that night in my pain, my anguish, my despair - through His word.

It was later as I began to hunger and thirst for more and more of His word that as I was reading the Book of John, I asked God, "God, is this true? Can this be true?" and the more I read, the more He opened my eyes, my heart, my very soul - and the more I saw and knew and understood the truth of His word, the truth of His Son and what it meant to believe in Him.

I gave my life to Jesus Christ as I was reading John and the Holy Spirit of God was interpreting the truth of His word on my heart.

Thanks for asking! May the Lord bless you and keep you!

l agree with Bat girl: personal experience. lf you want, you can read my 360 blog entry about NDE. lt doesn't prove the existence of God, but the things most NDE'ers have experienced are so much in line with what Jesus taught that it only strengthened my faith.

And this is about one of the miracles l've experienced:
