according to a tv documentary I watched on tv last night.
Man was born somewhere on the Asian contenent when the `king of the gods laid a golden egg` and man emerged.
This demolishes the christians` belief that a god created Adam first, then Eve 6,000 years ago.
How come then that another god made Adam and then Eve?
What do you think? What was the point?
No unprovable bible quotes, please!!

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR
You are quite wrong about the `global flood.`
Think! Where did all the water come from to cover ALL of the earth? And where did it go to?
Whoever wrote about the Flood covering the earth, well, it did, it covered HIS earth which was about 40 miles by 100 miles and in those days when travel was minimal, it was HIS earth. There is no proof of otherwise.
You are very susceptible to believing that which cannot and never was proven!

Both of these are called metaphors.

They are versions of the creation story, hundreds of these exist. They were never meant to be taken literally.

Firstly Bustup, is utterly mad!

Humans evolved over a period of millions of years, Evolution, Charles Darwin, thats FACT. No real scientist wuld disagree.

We know for a FACT, through archeology that modern human beings have been around for tens of thousands of years. Around 7000 years ago they began to be civilised.

Writing was invented in 3300BC by the Sumerians, so those idiots who say mankind only appeared 5000 years ago are total nutters!

Cultures all over the world have always had their own myths and legends about how mankind came into being.....basically as none could explain it! So they needed to invent an explanation.

Im a christian, Assyrian Church, oldest there is, but i do not believe the Adam and Eve story is literal.

Ill give you an example, the story of the flood/Noah etc is actually a Sumerian legend, it has nothing to do with christianity. The hebrews originally lived in Mesopotamia, and picked up stories and legends of the people they lived amongst and incorporated them into their religion, hence Noahs ark etc. It was written by the Sumerians in around 3000BC, before jews and christians and the concept of the one god even existed!

Evolution is the physical history of God creating life on Earth from the prehistoric days until now. (over billions of years). Our religious mistake is the thinking that the first day of Genesis includes the prehistoric eras which it doesn't. Genesis starts recording life created by God evolving from the modern era of evolution, which includes the modern human being. So that explains the difference in time religion and science can never agree on. It's not that the Bible is wrong, it's the religious interpretation of man of this part of the Bible that is wrong. Which God knew mankind would figure out when we got smart enough.

As far as I'm concerned, the bible is simply a history book that we do not know how to interpreter properly. It becomes even more difficult when christian fundamentalists decided they did not agree with all it said and wrote a new one (new testament).

Anyway, I don't know how we can accurately decipher books from thousands of years ago when the meaning of individual words changes all the time and even between nations that supposedly speak the same language.
It wasn't that long ago that "wicked" meant evil, now it means good, how will people interpret something like "Elvis Presley was wicked"?

The God group laid an "egg" all right. Personally, I'll be glad when this program comes to completion.

Have you ever heard of a myth?- well that's what religion is based upon, its just made up stories that have got people hating each other. Man evolved from our ape ancestors that is a scientific fact. Adam and eve? what rubbish.

It is just the world conspiring against the christians

The rest of the world was recording history before god seems to have "created the earth". They also seem to have missed that global flood.

bustup-the bible could not possibly be more wrong about science if it tried. The "science in the bible is laughable, it was the science of early mand, mostly wrong. If god put the science in the bible, a different god must have created the universe.

So the Chinese think God was some kind of a chicken or something? OK.

The Haida claim that humans were found by Raven when he was trying to open a clam shell, and Raven looked after them because he found them amusing

I still think evolution from pond scum makes more sense.

Adam and Eve were created from head to toe by Allah's pure hands.

and it was in Heaven,,, later on when the Devil (shaytaan) made Adam and Eve eat an apple from the forbidden tree,, Allah then Created the earth in 6 days, and sat on his chamber on Friday, and it is the day when Adam & Eve were placed in the earth.
