Hello? Evolution works on the geological time scale?
A few thousand years will effect small changes in the gene pool but I doubt you will be able to see them.

I think so but not in a few thousand years but a few million years.
As we become less dependent on our physical bodies for work and survival due to our modern conveniences our bodies will change.
Our hands will have only three digits; thumb, index and middle finger. The ring finger and pinky lost during evolution due to lack of use.
Our eyes should be larger and more sensitive to movement, color with a lack of expressive features.
I also think that reproduction will somehow change but I am not sure if we will be having babies in jars or become unisex without gender and with all being able to procreate without sexual intercourse.
The God belief will still be present and alive but the perception of God will be very different from today.
I also think that almost all physical illnesses to include cancer and AIDS will not exist as there will be a super immune system in us plus we will have such advanced preventative medicine and such a controlled environment that the viruses and bacteria simply will be eradicated.
Mental illnesses I think will be largely gone as the understanding of thought process will either prevent or eradicate depression and anxiety as well as schizophrenia.
Social systems and structures will be based on things other than gender or race or income or eductional level as we will all be educated and have something to give of value and worth.

Jake the Rake gives you the truest answer so far.
The only thing to add is that we do not know what the selection process is selecting for or if we will be adapting to changes quick enough not to die out. People who predict what traits will survive are just guessing. Don't forget that the changes do not have to be large to sweep rapidly through a population in just a few generations.

Yes, definately. There is already a rise of atheism, so in a few thousand years, I believe that everyone, or at least the majority of people, will be atheist. Religion will slowly vanish.

Yes, I'm sure they will change. Mostly because of advances in science there will be changes due to genetic adjustments.

The Bible says that soon there will be a new systems of things that will remove the wicked people from the earth , raise the dead to life and make the earth into a global paradise.
Righteous people will be able to live in perfect health and peace forever on this paradise Earth if they bring their life into line with Gods requirements today.
This is God's plan , and it will not fail.

Our scientist's experiments with cloning and genetic engineering and trans genetics will only produce human freaks of nature that we will end up regretting were created. We will also realize that we cannot improve God's original design of the modern human being which God created through the evolutionary process.
