To Whomever drank my drink,
I was extremely surprise to come to
find not only one, but both my
energy drinks opened and consumed in
the break room fridge. I will give
you the benefit of the doubt and say you
either didn't see my name/receipt or didn't recognize
it's existence. The bottom line is, it wasn't
yours; I know myself and most of us here work
hard to get what we want rather
then take from others. Notifications have been
made, so you'll never know what or who's items
are in this fridge (beware). I can't seem to
understand what was so hard of purchasing it yourself; it
was on sale for all sake! Anyway, I would
appreciate if you didn't eat my stuff.
`````````````
If not tell me what I need to change/add/delete.
PS: I work grocery store with plenty of people. I'm not someone people hate, I do my job. They were two Mtn Dew Amps (energy drinks). I'm also at the bottom of the job options there.
All advice appreciated.
It's not as good letter because it's unlikely to accomplish what you want, which appears to be to shame the person who stole your drinks. The person who stole your drinks is unlikely to care about a rahter weakly worded letter. (Sorry if I sound harsh, but you did ask for an opinion)
If you must write something, forget the letter, keep it simple and to the point. Something like the following should do the job;
To the person who stole my drinks - My two drinks were clearly named, you stole them and drank them. This is theft and if you keep doing it, sooner or later you will be caught.
You don't need all the other stuff, it just makes you sound like you're whining.
Hope this helps.
I've corrected your grammar and removed some text which I didn't understand. Apart from that, good letter!
"TO WHOEVER DRANK MY DRINK:-
I was extremely surprised to find not one, but both of my energy drinks opened and consumed in the break room fridge. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just didn't see my name on it. The bottom line is, it wasn't yours. Most of us here work hard to get what we want rather than take from others. I don't understand why you can't buy your own drink. It was on sale, for goodness sake! Anyway, I would appreciate it if you didn't take my stuff."
To Whomever drank my drink,
I was extremely surprise to find both of my
energy drinks consumed in
the break room fridge. I would like to think you somehow overlooked the name/receipt of personal property but the reality is, it was not yours to drink in the first place. I'm sure you are a professional with moral ethics and respect for your colleagues and would not do such a thing intentionally. Even so this incident has been reported and I hope it won't happen again. Thank you.
This would be my version, I hope it helps
It's a good letter, but I don't think it will work. Go ahead and post it. But If you want to stop people from drinking your bevvy, open it and drink a couple of sips. Then put the bottles in a paper bag. On the bag write -- "I always spit in my drinks."
It is a pretty good letter as is.
If I changed anything, I might take out the last three lines and replace it as follows:
"It is not unreasonable to expect we would not be stealing from our co-workers. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter."
