Yes, almost universally from my understanding. The list is endless:

Copernicus;
Gallileo;
Jesus;
Buddha;
Martin Luther;
Mahatma Ghandi;
Martin Luther King; and
Nelson Mandela
to name a few.

Why? Beacuse change is upsetting and unsettling and humans resist it.

Probably. At the very least a lot of them were probably seen as outsiders and/or misfits. Or maybe just strange.

because they were different or thought different. People (as a whole) dont like different
