No, there's no mail on Saturday...except the newspaper and postogrammes (special card with envelop you can by at the post office even months in advance) and special letters saying somebody died (mourning letters?).
I live in Belgium and I used to by a mail deliverer (a very long time ago).
Some packages get delivered on Saturday but only if you send them via taxi post...

For the last 31 years, no mail is delivered on Saturday, but the post offices are open till noon.

the post office is open from 9 am till 12 midday . So transactions can be done.
Delivery on home its just the newspapers.

Posts are working till 12.00 -12.30 on Saturday but no deliverance at the houses and that's about now for 30 years, pity because I like also post on Saturday!
