i would drink only tea, orange juice, or water and sleep sleep sleep. if you can't sleep, don't get out of bed. make sure you got lots of blankets.

some people dont like this method but it works for me but it will tire you very quickly because your immune sytem will be down... put as many layers of clothes on as you can and sleep iunder a blanket you will sweat like your in the Moabe desert but thats the point...when you wake up take a luke warm shower and wash your clothes IMMEDIATLY after undressing out of them.
After waking up eat as much fruit as you can to build up your immune system. If you are a smoker like me DONT DO IT its actually a better way of quitting then cold turkey :)

An untreated cold lasts a week - a treated cold lasts seven days!

Plenty of fluids, paracetamol and just wait it out!

Yep, sorry dear...not much you can do but wait it out and take care of yourself. Some people insist that zinc lozenges shorten the length of time you are sick, but I don't think there's any proof.

Lots of water, rest, and believe it or not, chicken soup! (The warm broth helps with congestion)

It does take a week for a cold to go, but taking extra vitamin c seems to help for me.

You gotta try boosting your immune system so that your body puts up a good fight. Things like vitamin c and echinecea and zinc help boost it. there's actually tablets that have all these things in them.
