My God, if you paid an avian vet every time you had a question, you could have put yourself through vet school! A little common sense is needed here! If there is a problem getting the keet to come to you, clip the wings! You could buy a book or even borrow one from the library, copy notes regarding most of your questions or ask at your nearest PET STORE. There are people there who actually KNOW something about the animals they sell, and may even have some of their own.

Yes you will only cause conflict You may also set any relationship back by clipping. Dominance does not work when training birds. Only love and care will work for you. Look up and read all you can on Positive Reinforcement Training. You should note that if you are not able to make a bond with this bird it may never happen. Once you have lost that trust you will never get it back.

yes you shud get the keets wings clipped ..only by an avairan vet tho if u have no knowledge of doing this....i only agree with wing clipping if it is in the birds favour and not the owners ..after a wing clip a bird can stil fly ..the only difference is it doesnt get any height and will glide to the floor...take care

I would say yes you should while you are still training your bird or bonding with it. However if you have any other animals in the house i.e. dogs/cats then I wouldn't. I used to clip my birds wings but since ive got a cat and two dogs I don't clip their wings anymore. Incase my birds get out of their cage they can get away easier. my cockatiel or dove will occasionally hit the wall but not hard, I dont think you have to worry. they usually wont hurt themselves.

If you plan on letting it out of the cage! Have a vet do it if you're worried about messing up.
I didn't clip my finch's wings because it needs to exercise, but safety over exercise, right?

Yes, i used to have a parrot and the best thing i did for it was clip its wings. it doesnt hurt them at all. But, you should go and talk to your vet.
