Do all you religious people dress up in super hero costumes when you go to church?

Maybe that is why church is so much fun for you guys. Do you fly around inside the church or kill each other and bring them back to life? We do know of your miracle workers healing the sick by performing miracles but you know that scam usually takes place after the collection plate and lasts until church is over

Do you honestly- I mean SERIOUSLY- believe that every church-goer practices or believes in "healing", "miracles" and all that other crap???? I didn't "grow up in church" as many of those freaks have, regardless, I belong to the Lord's church and we only teach that we are to do as is taught by example in the New testament. God DID bless many of his apostles with the ability to heal the sick, get water from a rock, turn a rod into a snake,etc.,etc.. Jesus healed people and raised Lazarus from the dead. These are all examples of "miracles". The Only miracles that have taken place as far as we know. After Jesus completed his "mission" by dying on the cross for our sins so that we may be saved by his blood, God no longer needed to perform miracles. He has shown us that He is real by by Jesus' life and his accomplishments and by taking Him as a sacrifice for our sins then raising Him from the dead to be at his right hand in Heaven.
So, My point is there are NO MORE MIRACLES. No matter how "miraculous" the conception/birth of babies is, or how that little child that had a brain anurysm "suddenly didn't have an anurysm anymore" after all them good ol' Baptist folks prayed for 'im. Every one on this site seems to like to criticize denominations or religion in general so don't any of you try to say I'm being critical or hypocritical. It's not just Baptist's it's almost every denomination these days.
As I said I belong to the Lord's church. It is NOT a denomination. It is not the same as Church of God, Assembly of God, Pentecostal, Non-denominational, Christ's church, Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, Protestant, Nazarene, or any other "Christian" group.
My church is Commonly known or identified by a sign that says church of Christ. NOT Capital (C) for church , but church of Christ. This simply means we follow the bible only - the teachings of Christ and the New Testament. We have NO man made creed or "mission statement" we do not answer to some "head church" or organization somewhere(*Baptist's have things like the "Southern Baptist Association"*) They're all powerful if you ask them.LOL.
Any way, you are either extremely ignorant and not very funny, or you have had a bad experience in a church full of hypocrites and you really believe that all "christians" behave like morons that really have no shame and DO NOT follow the word of God.
So, My God doesn't perform miracles anymore but he WILL judge you and I both when we croak. I know where I'm going because I have obeyed The New Testament rules for salvation ( See Acts Chapter 2 verse 38. and just go ahead and read all of it while your there)
I DID NOT "Ask Jesus into my heart" that is NOT in MY bible ANYWHERE. A lot of the people that act the way you described are the same people who believe that John 3:16 means that all you have to do is say a sweet and sorrowful little prayer and ask God to be your Lord and Savior. These people are going to be so sad on the day of judgement.
I am not a fanatic, bible beater, holy roller, etc. But your comment just brought out the response in me.LOL!
I'm a fun, happy, loving AND judgemental person. I think hard about anything that involves my feelings and well being and that of my family. You are the type of person I teach my children to pray for and to stay away from because even tho' ignorance is not "catching" it can spread like a disease out of control in a young or impressionable mind.

No, really though. I love church and think it is fun because it is. I don't like Religious Churches, if you know what I mean. Like, traditional and all that. I like a pastor that relates to real life in a down to earth way, and a church that lets me worship my savior freely with modern worship music, loud and upbeat mostly. Guitars and drums....I love it!

there is a difference between the holy spirit healing and suggestive healing. usualy the holy spirit heals when you lay your hands on the sick. healers recieved their gifts from the holy spirit for free and must use it for free. these modern day prophets use mass indoctrination and mass suggestion to heal people ,with the moneyboard, and as you say it only last untill the service is over. that is the false prophets and healers that Jesus talked about, that invaded his church to do great mirracles for even the chosen to believe in.goto http://frikkiebotes.homemarker.com/rich_text.html and remember that hell is not a place, but a thought patern

Sure mary why not? Wanna come? BTW: my pastor is dirt poor; I belong to an inner city church that does a huge amount of outreach for our community here. Almost all poor people in attendance. We manage, and at the same time we are able to feed over 100 homeless people every Friday night. No super heros needed ;)

I don't know of any that you are talking about. I wear clean clothes and do not dress to the nines. I attend Church and Bible study to learn more about Jesus. It isn't a scam for those of us who have repented of our sins. It is unbelief when others scoff and make fun.
By tithing I know my money will go towards the needs of the Church. I have a positive attitude because I confess my sins and when I go to bed at night I know all is well between The Lord and me. Perhaps you may like to investigate the words coming from your mouth by reading God's word. What comes from the mouth comes from the heart.

This is the reason why religions are alway fighting. Why continue to insult someone elses beliefs?You guys jump on others for giving you crap yet you return the same bull****. I'm not a Christian, just so you know, and I don't follow or believe what they say, but I do try to respect them. i can lay my hand on people for severe pain and the pain leaves them immediately.a man last year said he couldn't hardly lift his arm because if his arthritis and i touched his shoulder and said God will have to heal you and a few months later his wife said he had no pain after i touched his shoulder.he had been suffering for many years.God strike me dead and burn me in hell if i am lieing.
this guy Mitch had a toothache so bad tears were in his eyes, he didn't believe in God and i touched his face and his pain left him immediately.about two weeks later he came back over knocking at my door and when i opened it he grabbed my hand and brought it to his face and said its back. do it again and i didn't have time to react and his pain went away and it was his faith that took away that pain that time. and i don't go to church any more because of my bad back.and my terrible headaches.which is weird really since i can lay hands on people for pain.I don't know about others but i know that faith can heal.since i have seen it personally.many times.I have seen supernatural miracles.so I know that God and his spirit is real .you can believe any ole thing you want to. that's really not my business.But this what is say is the truth.their is a spirit of God,. But you must ask it in for it to work thru you.Life is not right and good and fine and wonderful.without pain we learn not much.we really need to suffer to learn sometimes.i dont know the answers but i know that God and his spirit is with me.The spirit of God is a mighty force.Peace

obviously you're either hurt or annoyed by church-goers. i don't know. you know that there's no such thing, but you still asked. maybe you need help, but no one offers. or you envy how happy church-goers are, and deep down you know you really don't feel happy no matter how hard you laugh. you might be mislead by lots of people out there who may be "claiming" that they can bring people back to life, but the truth is church brings peace, happiness, belonging, love...etc.. making fun of us won't make us mad, if what i say is true, we just wish that we're with you when you feel like this. good luck in life. Actually, we go to church to worship and get the super hero powers. Then, when we're not at church, we have the super powers to tell people like,,,, well, like you, about Jesus. Believe me, it sometimes takes all the super hero powers I have to keep at it.
