Everyone who claims to be "Christian" isn't necessarily a Christian.
The Bible says that fornication is wrong - it is sin. Fornication can be any sexual sin such as sex outside of marriage, adultry etc, but is often used to mean mainly sex outside of marriage.
These are just two of many verses :
1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication
Ephesians 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Then in places it talks in other phrases as in Revelation 21:8 that shows the end results, "Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
God doesn't tell us to refrain from this because He wants to keep something good from us, but to protect us. He knew that sleeping around hurts both man and woman. It diminishes the true love a man and woman can share in marriage and it also will lead to sexually transmitted diseases.
God intended it to be one man and one woman for life. If we follow that plan we will find ourselves a lot happier.
This is a good story to illustrate why God said NO to premarital sex -

it also does a pretty good job of explaining what it means to be a Christian.

No, the Bible doesn't allow. The original teachings of Jesus also reflect that. Therefore, the culture of today (making premarital sex a no biggie) must come from outside Christian influences.

The Bible doesn't say anything about dating. Dating was not part of Jewish or Chrisitan society when it was written. However the Bible forbids premarital sex.
Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

If you see Christians having sex, you should't be looking in other people's windows! And how can you tell the people you're spying on are Christians, hmmm?
Christians don't follow the Bible; we read the Bible and follow Jesus Christ.
No, the God of Abraham does not condone sex outside of marriage.

I think most world religions evolve to meet the needs of its followers at the time. There are many "forbidden" things in the Bible that Christians do today. And there are many "illegal" things (like putting disobedient children to death) that Christians don't practice.
