Atheists can be spiritual.
I'd go with Zen Buddhism. It's more of a philosophy in the west. Actually, I do practice some Zen now, but without the rituals and ceremonies. A religion that is a philosophy is more honest, I think.

I would chose death over conforming to a religion. Religion is the very essence of uniformity where everyone believes in the same God, everyone follows the same rules, everyone bases their beliefs off the same principals.
I cannot be contained in an organized religion, where as I have a free mind and a free spirit - I believe what I want, I base my opinions on what I want.

Most likely Pastafarianism, (church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster) if for no other reasons than he's fond of pirates and their afterlife is really cool.
What other religion offers a beer volcano and stripper factory to the devout?

as an ardent skeptic, it obviously is hard to answer that becuase I "know" that god isn't real just as a believer would tell you that they "know" that he does exist.
but the closest thing there would be to a believable religion would have to be a somewhat liberal view of christianity.
all the other religions are obviously not true and christianity best explains the existance of the others.

Wicca. It's based on something real (nature), it has a code of ethics I find agreeable, and the adherents of Wicca that I've known have been intelligent, kind, non-judgmental, and open-minded. I think it's a positive and peaceful expression of spirituality.

buddhism , it's perhaps one of the very few religion that really taught 'you reap what you sow'
perception of god in some buddhist is actually the universe we are in , not the usual diety who is omnipotent and stuff.
a good and truthful religion is reflected on the country itself. theres no need to go around preaching , people would approach it instead.
on top of that , please do note that rich countries doesnt necessarily meant = happier people.
survey have been done and apparently , poor countries have happier people compared to rich country.
pardon my poor english.
