ok my point is that two years ago i just tried to be friends with this guy and he got the wrong impression and he said he wasnt interested in dating me and i wasnt interested in dating him. Well now i am afraid to approach the guys in my school to be friends with them because im afraid they will get the wrong idea and then avoid me and it will make things awkward. and even if i dont like the guy who rejects me it still hurts to be rejected. how can i make it clear to a guy without directly telling him i only want to be his friend.

I know this sounds weird, but i normally talk about other guys im intrested in, infront of him.
Like in a reagular convo, like
he says "what did you do today?"
oh me and my girl friends went to the mall, we shopped and went into (name a store here) and there was a rreally cute guy working there, bla bla bla
Most girls that are intrested in a guy, dont talk about other guys they find attractive to them, and most guys know that.
So yeah, that what i do.

The post by Just wanna live would definitely give me the wrong idea if you are just looking to be friends.

Rejection hurts yeah but you have to realize this won't be the first time. Rejection is a part of life. Besides, it often is a good thing... the people who reject you make it easier when it comes to finding the right person as they did the work for you already by deciding to not even give you a chance.

I say stick with it, keep your head up and be yourself. I'm not into advising you to change your attitude as when you do that, your only going to attract someone who is after this new false attitude you are presenting.

Confide into the next potential male friend that your having trouble convincing guys that your just wanting to be friends... let him know that it would really be cool to just have a male mate who is willing to kick it without all of the drama.

Best of luck to you.

Rejection hurts no mattter who does it.
Getting the wrong impression, hmmmm....
That sometimes is the easiest to do and at times, the hardest to avoid.
Keeping things casual and avoiding situations where the two of you may have "awkward moments" alone.
Safety in numbers is a good idea, doing things in a group can help getting to know each other without being formal.
I hope this will help.

i does not complication too lots. you do no longer desire to lose your proper chum over some thing like this. merely initiate a stereotypical bloke verbal substitute approximately some lady you think of is somewhat warm or approximately those jugs on website 3 the different day, just to make it clean which you're in basic terms attracted to women. except of direction you're gay/bi, wherein case merely initiate a talk a pair of particular guy you're attracted to so this guy knows you're no longer into him. (i've got spoke back this assuming you're a guy so sorry if I have been provided that incorrect!)

You dont have to. Just be natural and treat everyone equally if you dont feel anything for them. If anything the person should be embarassed that he thought you liked him in the first place.
