I've had my Siamese Since he was 3 months old, and its been 4 month now.

From what i've read Siamese are suppose to meow all day long and be very clingy to a single person.

My Siamese is very quiet , is very nice to everyone; even people he just met and seems very independent.

This doesnt mean that there is anything wrong with your cat..Just because some siamese cats are very noisy (with their meowing) doesnt mean yours is going to be just like that..

Your cat just has a different personality is all..and you should be glad that your cat is very nice to everyone else..because alot of cats arnt like that...especially mine..Charlie runs and hides and Gypsie is too stuck up to even notice when someone else is in the house...

And unless your cat is showing symptoms of being sick (such as not eating or drinking right...peeing outside of the litter box..mainly near the litter box...or sneezing..goop in its eye or etc...) then you have nothing to worry about.

Anyways your cat just has her/his own personality and seems to be very affectionate.

----and So--What's the question or the problem? You happen to have a very confident, outgoing cat. This is somewhat rare in a Siamese, but a lot depends on how he was raised, too. If he was brought up in a home where there were many people coming and going all the time, and/or other animals besides him, he just found it best to blend in with everyone--and this is his own way of being noticed and admired. Be glad that you have a Siamese with such an even, nice temperament.

There's a Siamese cat in my mom's neighbourhood, he may not be pure, but he sure looks Siamese. He makes his rounds through the neighbourhood and lets everybody and anybody pet him, all the kids love him, and I have never heard him meow. He's just a very, very sweet boy. That's all I know about Siamese cats.

Hi
I have four siamese now and have owned other little beauties who have passed on to cat heaven. They do not meow all day and speak to you when necessary. They are individuals. I have a little girl who rarely sits on my knee, likes everyone and then when in the mood sits with me.....on her terms. My old boy (12) wants to sit on my knee all the time and cannot get near enough to me, tapping me with his paw if I ignore him. They do speak to me each morning Chester (12) does not stop asking for his breakfast until the food is down. Two of them always speak back to me if I speak to them. I also have a Devon Rex who also speaks (not as often) if I keep pestering him to do so. None of my cats go out and have never done since I lost a precious Siamese to leukiemia and also one was knocked down by a car. My oldest cat is 12 and never 'played' out they have a cat gate at the back door and they can see out and get fresh air.

He sounds normal. There's a lot of variation in behavior with siamese, some are pretty quiet, so you've got a pretty normal cat.

However, once he picks someone as his special person, he will be very worried if that person disappears. They do stress when 'their' person goes away and doesn't come back.

Cats have different personalities just like people do. It is very normal for your siamese to like everyone and be quiet. I have had 2 of them and they were both not vocal cats. My 2nd one was very very clingy to me but that doesnt mean they all should be. When they put things like that online it doesnt mean that every single one has to be like that, its just a majority.

Our Siamese is a rescue cat that someone dumped out at my work. She was starving when I trapped her, and she now spends her time showing us how grateful she is to have a loving home (4 years ago). She, too, is very social, loves petting, is not a constant talker, but does have days that she has things that need to be said. Enjoy your cat, just like people they are each unique.

males are a little more social than females. females are the ones that tend to be more one person kitties. every male siamese that i owned or interacted with was very friendly and full of love for everyone. siamese are definatly independent. they come to you when they want attention.. they're not lap cats by nature

It is Normal, because every siamese has different attitudes like people, and your cat is great because it acts like a full-grown kitten.

the only difference between my siamese and my other cats was that she was very loud when she meowed. and she only meowed when she felt like it. she was definately the boss of the house. she loved everybody and everybody loved her.
