What should I look for in a center channel speaker? I would like to keep it under $200. Thanks

Hi. Ideally the front left main, center, and front right main speakers should be identical .If that is not possible at least it should be a center speaker from the same manufacturer of your two front speakers,

The centre channel speaker is more important than any other speaker in you system.
Please don't buy a cheap one ,get the best one you can afford .

EDIT......This is a good one from Klipsch .Check it ot.

Well, Klipsch offers compatible center channels (within

their line) for their surround sound systems. However,

if you want something less expensive, you will want to

keep with the same speaker (i.e. horn-loaded) design

in order to get the best results. That being said, my

top two choices for your system outside of the Klipsch

Synergy C-2 would be either the Hsu Research HC-1

or the Acoustech HT-65 centers.
