Because most of the rest of the world aren't Christians and can buy from the American market if they wish. The porn industry in Japan is huge and they have no religious rules against it. 100 per cent of the American population doesn't make up that much of the worlds population.
I don't see how you can actually gage the amount of money that a country spends on porn. If you are correct then the amount must be more than that as the figures couldn't calculate international orders unless they were declared. I guess I'll just go with your research though.....Which must mean that Americans are really perverted.

Don't you wish you could take a look at the average christians spending report? I mean...I'm sure your average atheist is probably into porn too...but...with an average of 13 BILLION a year being spent on porn...it's not too hard to figure out that more than 20% of the population is buying into it.

statistics mean nothing when asking if someone is a Christian or not. Many people may say that they're a Christian because their family is or because they're just not part of any other beliefs. Still, that doesn't mean that they're born again and have been saved by the love and mercy of Christ. True Christians should have nothing to do with pornography or any other sinful material. I'm a Christian and I know that it's wrong and therefore, I keep away from it. Just because people may say something, it doesn't mean that they're what they say in their hearts.

What a brilliant question! I think that gets right to the heart of the issue of so-called pervasiveness of Christian morality. I also think it highlights the real difference between professing a belief in God and claiming to be Christian and the actual practice of everything that goes with claiming to be Christian.
More sympathetically, one could argue that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak but, more fundamentally, I think it emphasises the extent to which the Christian lobby has completely hoodwinked everyone into believing their moral agenda is superior to all others.

It is because, not everyone knows what being a Christian truly is. They think that becase a family member is they inherited it, so on surveys they so they are Christian, as opposed to Atheist or hindu for examples. The Bible says. That anyone can say Lord, Lord, I have done such in your name, but Jesus says to them that I know you not, because you have not accepred me as your saviour.
Also you may want to check the facts on that percentage rate to see what year that survey was from and also the test market of that survey. If I stood in side of an all American congregation results could go that way.

I would say there are plenty of Christians out there who dig porn. They just aren't as open with it as everyone else.
