I told him to clear off the table, brush his teeth and goto bed...BUT he is sitting behind me and reading this and NOT in bed. He has a big baseball game tomorrow and needs his sleep!

Because you are one of those Moms that wants to be your child's best friend. You should be the parent. He will respect you if you have rules and guidlines and he is made to follow them or there will be consequences. He should have a set time for bed every night, not just school nights.

Because you are busy on the computer and not MAKING him go to bed. Give him an ultimatum, bed or no game tomorrow. You are the mother, and until you show him who's boss this will be the way it is FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

Maybe he is waiting for you to quit typing on the puter and give him a kiss. At least he is interested in what you are doing. He may just want to say goodnight and does not want to disturb you from your Oh So Important Computer stuff.

Haha you're son is probably just stalling. He might be really excited for his big game tomorrow. He might be a little lazy too. Or he just wants to spend time with you.

He's probably really excited about the game... but if he doesn't go to sleep I doubt he'll play good. Tell him to lay in bed, even if he doesn't go to sleep. Atleast he will be resting.

you can shut off your computer and take him into his bedroom, both of you get on your knees and ask God to Bless You as you sleep, Bless your son and his team-mates, and Thank God you have a Son to care for!
