the rest of my legs are pretty pale and it is almost embarrasing to wear dresses or skirts. it's natural for your knees to be a few shades darker due to the fact that they get rubbed and brushed on a lot, but mine look horrible. they aren't bruised (and they are not dirty.) how can i make them look better?

thank you all very much.

It's because they are dry and have tanned differently. You need to get rid of the dry skin and moisturize. Do this as a part of your normal routine. At the natural food store, pick up about 1/2 Cup of alfalfa seeds, apricot kernal oil, grape seed oil and natural brown sugar.
Mix 1 cup of the sugar with the alfalfa seed in a plastic jar and moisten with apricot oil. when you first get into the shower, take a few tablespoons of the stuff and rub it into your knees - let it rinse off in the shower. When your skin is dry, rub the grape seed oil into your knees. Do this a few times a week.

Your problem is very common.I would recommend applying lemon juice( with cotton )on your knees.Lemon is a natural bleach.Although results wouldnt be instant but it will help restore your natural skin color. While dressing up its essential to know you problem areas.Wear dresses that atleast cover your knees if it makes you conscious.

I have the same problem! I haven't exactly tried this out but my mom says if you rub lemon juice on them it will bleach them so they are regular toned. But idk you can try it.
