Yes I do, but in recent years they have said that if you don't want to give up your food, give up something else, the whole purpose of lent is to show that you are willing to sacrifice something in general, so if you give up something else it would be perfectly acceptable.

That is what breakfast used to mean - it was the meal you ate to break your morning fast.

As far as fasting on Friday mornings during lent, that's a new one on me. The tradition was to fast on good Friday through easter Sunday. There was also a tradition to fast every day until vespers (the evening service) and eat a meal after attending that service. This was gradually relaxed into fasting during each morning of lent. I suppose fasting Friday mornings is your priest's idea of a modern equivalent. Properly you should go to church before you break the fast.

I do the whole abstinence from food during Lent, but not on regular Fridays because of school (you know, I need to eat a big breakfast). Anyways, what my family and I do is we pretty much only eat bread and water until 6pm and then prepare a tuna meal. Remember it isn't obligatory if you are under 14 to do the abstinence.

Fasting is required on fridays of Lent. All day, not just mornings. One full meal, and two smaller meals which together do not equal the full meal. Jesus said that His followers were to fast, once He ascended. We, His Church, follow His teaching.

Never fasted during the morning... we had to give up something (usually candy) and we ate fish on Fridays.

I dont care. I eat whatever the hell I want as long as it doesnt affect my health in a bad way. I can sacrifice other things that arent a necessity(yes food is necessary why would anybody sacrifice this?) Besides it doesnt compare to how much Jesus had to fast.

JESUS fast 40 days and nights in the wilderness. He ate nothing, but to combat Satan.

Americans are too easy on things. Skip meat on Friday, fasting? Are you kidding me!

Catholics typically abstain from eating meat during all meals on Lenten Firdays.

The custom has been tolerated of taking a cup of liquid ( tea or coffee, or even chocolate) with a fragment of bread or toast in the early morning.

I presume you mean Roman Catholic. Another tradition. Thomas Cranmer wrote that we should "diligently search for the well of life in the books of the Old and New Testament and not run to the stinking puddles of men's traditions (devised by man's imagination) for our justification and salvation".
