Hit yourself over the head with a brick several time, then and only then will you be able to have this blind faith in god and religion.

You can still have doubts. In the scriptures it says if you have enough faith of a mustard seed, you will be blessed. A mustard seed is very tiny. Having hope is having faith. Practice makes perfect. Looks like I need to say more after all those negative answers I just read. The more you practice having faith, the more your faith increases. You start with just one thing small, one aspect of the gospel, ex: like giving tithing 10% of income, or reading scriptures, or praying. You know that you should do it so you do it. Just try to work on one thing. It's okay to implement prayer with any of the others. Then when the Holy Ghost witnesses to you or you see the blessings, your faith starts to grow, until soon you no longer rely on faith in that area because it becomes knowledge.

It may take a personal experience to see the light generally its tragic. Example: Just think back on a situation that happened and you know that you could have been killed or maimed. Or how about you were dead broke and someone gave you money out of the blue.
Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Faith comes by hearing the Bible preached correctly and by studying God's word ourselves. Faith comes by knowing the true God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Faith comes by learning the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith comes by understanding and interpreting Scripture correctly. Faith comes by rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Faith comes by reading and studying your Bible

Great question! Even if you have a desire to believe, you can let that desire work in you until it becomes faith. Make sure that you make a place in your heart for the truths that you hear to grow. It's like a seed: if you want to find out that a seed is good, you can plant it. If it sprouts, you know that the seed is good. After it sprouts, if you keep watering it it will become a beautiful tree. Faith in Jesus Christ is the same way. First, allow it to be planted in your heart and sprout. When you feel that it's sprouting, continue to nourish it and it will grow up and be very beautiful to you.
You can nourish your faith by doing things like praying, singing hymns, and studying scripture.
This analogy comes from this scripture: http://scriptures.lds.org/en/alma/32

One should remember that Faith is believing in something without evidence or proof. Alot of religions/denominations like to hold to certian beliefs just CUZ they say that is the way it is.
But some things are totally alien to some people. Based upon THEIR lives, THEIR experiences those definitions/concepts have no meaning. In some cases even being contradictory to what has been seen and experienced within their lives.
The SPIRIT is supposed to be EVERYWHERE and in EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING is supposed to come from god.
Isa 45:7 I form Light and create darkness, I make weal(well-being) and create woe(misery/sin), I am the Lord, who do all these things.
EXO 4:11 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?
Why is it such an issue to simply allow the SPIRIT to manifest IN your life as IT NEEDs? Why try to make it all into something else?
One of the reasons, in the old scriptures converting people to a particular 'faith' was a major NO-NO. Deuteronomy 13.
This concept even restated by 'Jesus'. When he said to only be for the lost sheep of Israel and told his disciple NOT to preach to the gentiles.
When you convert people---when you have to show someone your god, give them the defintions/concepts/IDOLS you're basically saying that your god ISN'T everywhere. Of course, a god isn't everywhere, because a god is a FORM to the SPIRIT.
"Life is a Banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death...so LIVE, LIVE, LIVE."--from the movie Auntie Mame. Its a big ol' world out there, why only live on certain things? Why not try them all? Some do, some don't...life is as easy or as complicated as you choose to make it.
an easy rule of thumb---if it FEELS right---do it, if it don't then don't....just be true to yourself, love yourself, and see and experience what you and the SPIRIT allow you to.

Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Read the Bible (New Testament first) and find a Bible-believing church to attend. Ask God to reveal Himself to you and give you faith to believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again. Ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Repent (change your mind) about sin. That just means agree with God that you have sinned (we all have). Ask the Lord to come into your life. Actually, when I did that it was several months later before I believed the gospel. But God does hear those prayers. Ask and you shall receive.

You cant try to make yourself believe something you don't believe in. Having faith is pretty much not questioning your religion, you are questioning it so you can't have faith and you wont be able to stop questioning it either unless you see some kind of evidence or a miracle happens in your family or something. I am the same, I can't really believe because I just don't.

Hi! I just looked this up for you and what I found is this: In the bible, Romans 10:14 says "How then shall they call on him whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?" The answer is in Romans 10:17 which states : "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.". Basically the bible says that faith is not something you can learn to have, but something that God gives you automatically by reading the word of God. As you grow closer to him through his word, you will find your faith growing on its own. :)

The Bible says that God has given an amount of faith to everyone.
Faith is not believing in what you can see. Faith is believing in what you can't see.
It dose not take faith to believe in trees, rocks, computers exc.. you can see them, but God, Heaven, Hell, Angels, these are things that take faith, things you cannot see with your eyes.
