It feels like there now 8237958 different shampoos for "blondes"- and a few people on here say it like lightens hair a bit, does it really?

And so will it make my blonde-brown hair more blonde?

And what's the best brand?

The Sheer Blonde by Jon Frieda is awesome..
After I got highlights, I wanted em to stay as long as possible and my stylist told me to use that shampoo..
It makes your hair really super shiny and keeps build-up from making it look darker..
Just a suggestion..
Good luck :)

It all depends on your hair.

the point of those shampoos is to take all the extra crud that adds up in your hair out so that it enhances the shine. They don't actually have hair dye in them though, so your hair is not going to go from blonde brown to looking like a blonde hair model. If your hair is naturally oily, it will make a difference... simple thinking here, the more to take off your hair, the more difference it will make. If your hair is already pretty clean and doesn't hold grease/oil as much, it won't do as well.

If you really don't know where to go, you can always talk to your hairstylest the next time you go in for a trim.

Shampoos For Blonde Hair Help Keep Hair From Fading And Prevent "Brassy" Or "Off-Tones". Some "Refresh Color" They May Remove "Dulling Film" And "Clairify" The Hair. But None "Lighten" The Hair.

I naturally have blonde-red hair so I use John Frieda, depending on what I feel like my hair color should be, red or blonde. I believe there is a bBrunette one as well, but try using the blonde one to bring out natural highlights. I use the dark blonde type/caramel, and it works very well.

i have dark brown hair and decided to try that with one of those little sample shampoo bottles at walmart. i used shampoo from john frieda's line. i used shampoo for blondes and conditioner for brunettes. it does kind of get your hair lighter, especially if you use john frieda

no, most of them just have toners in them to make it brighter, or more protein and moisture that goes along with blonde brittle hair
