Well. Im a gramma and let me tell ya what. I love my grand daighters with all my heart. My daughter has 3 girls and my son has 2 girls. They all love me to death, but I do see my daughters kids alot more. I was with them since the day they were born, they grew up knowing me and being with them ALOT!! I take them out to dinner, go to all their soccer games, (theyre all in soccer ) even to me, its boring. Ive never missed a school function,Ive always been there for them., and they know that. They are my life. I worry about them when they get sick. Yes, I do hollar at them when they fight, and they listen to me, too, The oldest 13, and I talk quite a bit, We are still very close and I want to keep it that way, I spoil them at Christmas and their birthdays., and basically through the year. They always tell me Im the best gramma ever Their mom and dad let me take them when ever I want to spend the weekend at my house, I really dont know what I would do without them!!!! And one day when Im gone, which I hope wont be to soon, I know they will always remember me.

I don't know. I never really had any grandparents in my life, except when my grandma came to visit one Christmas.
I've heard the relationship between grandparents and g-children can be such an awesome one though.

The fact that they don't have any responsibility to discipline. Grandparents get to just have fun with the kids, then send them home with mom and dad to take care of the hard stuff.

My grandparents were all grumpy old, stingy crabs. Not all grandparents are great. But....I suppose a lot of grandparents have time and money and attention to give, and parents don't always have those things to give. That makes them seem pretty swell.

Them being there for you and your parents, mom or dad(the nice ones).
If you're lucky like me, you can talk to them, and learn things that you can't from anyone else. And most of the time, they're old-fashiony, and you sorta get a dose of "the good ol' days"

grand parents save the kids when mommie is trying to make them put on awful clothes or say let him eat one more cookie. you can teach them about live by being around and older and then you can show them how the trees have leaves and grass is growing and watering it plants seeds and they grow.
