I just got a perm done and I love it. But i want to maintain it properly so that it will lasts longer. I tied my hair up when i went to bed the night after I got my perm, and I'm wondering if that has made the perm limp.

What can I do or use to make my curls more defined and fuller again to make it last?

I was always told not to tie my hair up for about three days after I got a perm, but your hair is probably limp from gravity. Even people with natural curls can have that problem. To make your curls more defined there are tons of curl enhancing products you can get at the drugstore. When you blowdry your hair, put a diffuser at the end of the dryer and use it to gently dry your hair. My stylist taught me that trick, and it's amazing how well it works. Put the curl enhancer on your hair, blowdry it with the diffuser, and then use a light hold hair spray all over.

There Are Special Products For Keeping Your Curls. But, Your Best Investment Would Be A Few Good Hair Nets Or "Sleeping Nets" To Keep From "Dragging-Out" Or "Crushing" Your Curls. These Will Let Your Hair Dry Naturally While You Sleep And Hold It At The Same Time. AVIOD: Stretching, Pulling, Brushing And Blow-Drying. Harsh Shampoos, Creme Rinses (They Will Over-Soften And Drag-Out Curl). Use A Cool Water Rinse To Seal Cuticle Add Shine And "Firm-Up" Hair.

I just asked my aunt, a beautician, and she said that tieing your hair up will ruin the perm. You should wait a good 24 hours after the perm to wash, or do anything to it.
