I am not a woman, still I answer your Question. The most effective herbal treatment for your complaint is taking juice of Hibiscus (Red one with single set of petels) Take about 10 to 15 Hibiscus flowers and make juice and drink duly adding some sugar. I have suggested this to a few women and they had relief. You may not relish it but it is the best treatment for you. For further reading on the subject please go though the following-

The most common problems that may occur in Menopause and peri-menopause periods are:

1) Hot Flashes
2) Night Sweats and Insomnia
3) Heavy Bleeding and Fibroids
4) Headaches
5) Mood Swings
6) Vaginal Dryness
7) Skin Changes
8) Weight Gain
9) Urinary Problems and Stress Incontinence
10) Libido
11) Fluid Retention
12) Memory Problems and Fuzzy Thinking
13) Fatigue
14) Palpitations
15) Stress
16) Depression

For hot flashes and sweats increase water intake to 2-3 liters a day. Takes 500 units of Vitamin. E (1 – 2 X a day), 1000 mg of Evening Primrose Oil 3 X a day and herbs Dong Quai and Sarsaparilla. For dry itching skin and dry vagina take 1000 mg caps of Evening Primrose Oil 3 X a day.

Herbs: Paste made from Aloe Vera Gel and Slippery Elm powder, mix to consistency of toothpaste and insert in vagina at night; can relieve vaginal dryness.

I have hit menopause slightly early due to chemotherapy following hormonaly reactive cancer in my breast.

I am now on drugs to "mop up" any remaining oestrogen in my system so it won't cause any cancer they missed to keep growing.

Because of this, HRT is out of the question, and even soy products etc are not recommended because I have been told to limit my phytoestrogen intake.

My oncologist suggested Vitamin E would be safe to take.

I have started taking 2 capsules twice a day with my other medications, and haven't had any further hot flushes, the general arthritic pains that were developing have lessened and so has the lethargy!

It was also suggested that lowering my cafeine intake would lessen the symptoms, but as a caffeine addict I decided they weren't bad enough for that!

BTW, it has had NO effect on my ability to work, but then I worked right through my cancer treatment other than when I was attending appointments and for 2 weeks after my surgery.

25 and in a synthetic menopause during cancer treatment. Can sympathize immensly!!

I get hot flashes all the time. Feels like I'm radiating from the inside. Uncomfortable but not unbearable. I keep a small fan nearby when I'm at work to help.

Everyone's body is different, so it is hard to tell how bad it will get with you. I'm still able to work through my menopause-related symptoms.

I highly recommend taking a vitamin supplement, particularly one with calcium and vitamin D, as both become more necessary once you are in menopause.

Nobody can tell you how good or bad it's going to get for you cos no 2 women are the same but try not to dwell on it & let it take over your life. Think positively, i did, & i went through menopause at an early age & was determined not to listen to negative people Yeh i had hot flashes but they never stopped me working & i also took no medication whatsoever. I prefer herbal remedies to prescribed medications for anything, so maybe you could ask a herbalist for some advice to ease your mind & guide you through it?
Good Luck~~~
