Anyway the man that fell on his face and intreated the LORD, was not killed also, WHY? I could go on &on but enough for now. I will close by saying BOATH are wrong...period

Gen. 9:5 says, "...and for your lifeblood, I will surely demand an accounting...and from each man too I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man." Says nothing about demanding a man's life...it says that it demands an accounting of that life...not only for himself but for his impact on other people (and the earth). It is just another way of repeating God's original instructions for man...that you love God and love one another.

Certainly death is a fact of life...this verse doesn't demand a man's life, it demands that man be conscious of the fact that all will be judged according to what they do with the gift of life (the parable of the talents in the NT says the same thing). Yes, I believe we will all answer in judgment...this is only right for if God created us, he has a right to assess whether or not we used his gift wisely. ...and it isn't like people don't get judged in all sorts of other ways for their life...even after their death. The phrase "accepting the judgment of history" comes to mind...and what is a memorial service if not an opportunity for people to discuss and remember the life of a person that has died?

Not sure what story you're talking about but if you can find it, I'd be happy to discuss my perspective. I can say that killing is not God's will, it is the decision of man to take the life of another in most cases in the bible. If a man was spared death by pleading with God, this merely shows God's love for us and his willingness to forgive us for mistakes. People kill...sad but true...God doesn't want it that way, humans do!
