When I refer to my brother's baby's mother, I call her "Baby Momma" because they aren't married and we don't know exactly what the relationship is. They're mostly friendly, but we don't know if they are really "together" or just trying for the sake of the kid. Don't feel right calling her the girlfriend and they aren't engaged anymore. Don't know if there is "romance" going on... you know?

Baby Momma is slang for a child's mom. BUT....mainly its the mother of a child where the father and mother aren't married or really in a committed relationship.

So if someone's not your wife, not your girlfriend or your partner but is the mother of your child, what else do you say?

She's my "baby's momma" AKA 'baby momma"!!!

I read all of the answers that had been posted prior to my own... and I have to say that each and every answer you received was correct. However, I don't think they really gave you enough detail to help you to truly understand exactly what a "Baby Momma" is....

Baby Momma: Term used to describe any woman who gets pregnant/gives birth and raises her child on her own with very little if any support from the father.... how do we know this to be fact? I will tell you. Look at every answer you received thus far... a woman that has a baby with a man that don't have any kind of relationship with her, or, refer back to some of the cuter ones that cracked hard on all their own naive female companions.... If a woman allows herself to be referred to as some man's "Baby Momma" then she might as well say to the world... its ok if he disrespects me and OUR child.

Baby Momma and Baby Daddy are slang for parents of children born outside of a relationship. If a woman is the mother of your child, but not your girlfriend, wife, ex-wife, or anything else, she is your baby momma. This generally occurs as a result of one night stands or similarly short term hook ups.

Well, if this a serious question..okay. It's just slang when you have a child, usually out of wedlock. The man refers to the woman as his "Baby Momma," because they do not have a relationship.
