I Respect Everyone's Religion But I Mean Atheism Is Argued If It Is A Religion.... I Mean You Can Argue That It Isnt But Athiest Believe That There Is No Higher Superior Than What Is Now. It Says It On Dictionary.com And Wikipedia.org So You Argue With Saying No one Can Prove God exist But athiest argue that people cant prove that the greek gods existed so are people saying greek god exist since your using them as a sorce of argument even though athiest plainly believe in no higher being? i mean that arguement has been brought up numerous times. . so yea the point is if ur an athiest and u say to a believeer of god/gods that god /gods doensnt exist how can u use someone else religion to defend what you dont believe?

ok to sum everything up. the guy that said thats not what athiest beleive trust me it is my mom is athiest and so is my dad but i didnt belive what they belived so... here it goes... and im just using 2 religions its more complicated using more than 2 religions. athiest argues to chrisians that there is no god at all. However they use an arguement that christians cant prove that greek gods didnt exist. so all in all athiest say that they belive in greek gods because of them using them as an arguement. but yet the definition of athiest is they belive in no other higher superier being is than what is now. so how can they use greek gods as an arguement. but they dont belive in any gods. still not clear ill do it again.

my point is made that athiest dont know what they belive some athiest are saying they belive in nothing others say they just have a lack o believing i mean really its simple its better to be safe than sorry i mean what is it gonna do but belive in somethng want affect you god/jesus anything . i mean i say better safe than sorry. so if there is a god i know im safe when i die if there isnt a god i cant say i didnt waste my time because i mean i dont go to church im saved and i read the bible but im not a huge church fan. so yea when ever i die i know im safe or just know sum one was a pretty god story teller.

Disproof of a true fact is quite a quandary to those engaged in the practice.

That was barely decipherable! I can't even find a question in there! Atheism isn't a religion. That fact might help you out, or it might not from what I just read. You might want to go back to dictionary.com and re-read the definition of atheism, because what you wrote is not it. Atheist do not believe in gods...any gods. Yours or anyone else's. There are no gods. Including Greek gods, which is used sometimes to explain that if the Greek gods do not and never did exist, the same goes for yours.

Kind of hard to understand your question, but here goes. If someone who says they are an athiest believes in any God then they are not an athiest. I think you are asking how an athiest can use belief in Greek Gods in their conversation. If this is so then that is quite easy to explain. They are saying that the belief in the Greek Gods is as silly as the belief in the Judaic/Christian God. When someone says to you that a Christian cannot disprove the greek gods it is not that person saying that they believe in the Greek Gods. They are simply retorting to the statement "you cant prove God doesnt exist". Athiests however agree, you cannot PROVE that God doesnt exist, we just dontthink he does.

the point is that no one believes in the greek gods anymore. everyone is atheist concerning those gods. but you can't prove they don't exist... so one might argue, why not believe in them to be safe? of course that would be a bad argument, but that's the point. it's an equally bad argument to say that one should believe in the christian god or whatever, just because its existence can't be disproven. the only difference with the greek gods is that it's easier to see the argument is bad because nobody has been indoctrinated into assuming without evidence that they exist.

I understand you bro.
The simple answer is that faith does not require physical proof that God exist. Faith does not require you to prove or disprove your religious beliefs based on some other religious belief. Faith does not require you to answer to anybody on earth (just to God in heaven). Atheist only have faith in themselves and so are limited by worldly things. If you have faith in God you have unlimited power at your fingertips.
Luke 17:6 - "And the Lord said, if ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycanine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you."

This argument makes no sense. I have no idea what you are talking about, the atheist argument is that the Judeo-Christian God is as 'provable' as Greek Gods, meaning either both are true or, as atheists think, neither is true. Read others' responses before posting ignorant, illogical rants like this one. Go back to school and learn how to use your head.

One doesn't. The example of other gods illustrates beliefs that were current at one time but are now obsolete, just as current beliefs in god(s) will become obsolete. There is no reason to believe in the existence of any sort of god. See:

Calm down, junior. One of the things that would help you be a bit less perfervid might be taking the time to see that your words are spelled correctly and that your sentences were structured in an intelligible way.

the contadictions that exist between religions are easy pickings for disproving their theories... you guys don't beleive each other.... so it's like shooting fish in a barrel.... the fact of the matter is we are headed in a new direction... the needs for religion is dying and the understanding of the destructive nature of religions to ourselves, to our societies, to our cultures is surfacing... we don't need religions and people constantly trying to put atheist of all types of people into a religious catagory resembles a junkie... just cant seem to think beyond the next religious fix.
