VGA is analog and does not have the color support of HDMI.

HDMI is digital and can display up to 1080p. There is less distortion with HDMI.

There are going to be subtle differences, but use HDMI if you can.

The can both give equal sizes but hdmi tends to max out at 1920 x 1080, and vga has no real limit. HDMI is digital and the monitor decodes the signal. With VGA, your computer decodes the signal and passes analog to your display.

Both look the same to the human eye depending on the quality of the display.

Hi.There are significant differences in the way digital and analog signals are handled that are heavily dependent upon the characteristics of the Source device and the display rather than the type of video connection in use. While both cables do a similar job, the only way to be sure is to try them both and see if one gives you better resolution.

the differences are unnoticeable to the average human eye, so in essence, yes they are both the same.
