He isn't really helping us much financially, he owes me $800 (stupid me), he's in a lot of debt, and he NEVER cleans!!! It's terrible! It's starting to affect our relationship and we want him out. He's lazy and has to be nagged to even do his own dishes! Meanwhile, he always has money for cigarettes, beer and going out. He has a job, but it's low paying and he's not willing to get another one to help pay off his debts or give us what we asked for rent. How do we get him to move out without any hard feelings? He's basically using us and we're facilitating his poor spending habits.

No matter what you say there will be hard feelings because he is the kind of person that thinks people owe him something. He will mooch off of you and be lazy until you are so fed up you will end up leaving your boyfriend. You have to decide what is more important, your relationship with your boyfriend or being nice to the brother (who by the way is not being nice or the least bit worried about your feelings).

give him two weeks to find a place and move and tell him just that. you are saying he has to make his own life and that you two have to end this because you are making your lives together and this is the way it goes. yu can also mention the money he owes he can send payments and you will take that it costs to live you tell him and that . give him the date to move and be done with it and if hes not out by them leave his stuff on your door step outside. it maybe hard to do but you can't let him live off you hes a drunk i think or near it so this is it.

Have his bags packed and sitting at the front door for him when he comes in. Actually, set him down and have a heart to heart with him along with your boyfriend. Don't hold back but don't be nasty and rude. You need to tell him the truth and not candy coat it. You can do it. It seems hard to think of doing but do you want to continue living like that? It will be so much of a load off your back once you tell him and he leaves.

Well this man is taking advantage of you and your husband so you BOTh need to take a firm stand.

Tell him he has 30 days to be out. Leave the Flats For Rent classifieds out on his bed and make sure your boyfriend tells his brother that you guys mean it. He has to be out in 30 days.

There is no way to get him to move out without bad feelings. He is freeloading and you want to take away his free ride.

Get your life back and you may hopefully be forcing this lazy guy to take responsiblitiy for his life.

Why do you want to spare his feelings when he is obviously using you guys and not caring about you? Have his brother talk to him, give him a timeframe for a move out date and stick to it. Keep it simple and to the point. You don't owe him any explanations.

Your husband needs to tell him to move out. You all do not need these problems and all he is doing is free loading. You will be doing him a favor by forcing him to grow up.

Good luck!
