Messianic Prophecy:

http://bibleprobe.com/365messianicprophecies.htm
This link provides a list of 365 prophecies that Jesus fulfilled!

A complete book of Isaiah (which lists a big chunk of the messianic prophecies) was found in the Dead Sea scroll discoveries, which dated back to 100BC! This means that none of you can say that the prophecies were written after the fact.

This link provides dates for the old testament books.

The other amazing thing about these prophecies is that these books were written by different authors in different parts of the world at different time periods, but they all reveal the same person: Jesus!

And for those who say Jesus was some mythological person; please refer to the non-biblical historians that recorded His existence:

I don't doubt that parts of the bible are divinely inspired. I'm just not convinced that the bishops gathered at the councel of Nicea had the divine wisdom to know what was divine and what wasn't. The bible is not a single book. It is many different books, stories, and letters bound together in one cover. Why do I have to believe all of them? Read with wisdom and discernment. You can recognize the fabrications from the truth. Men are imperfect and men wrote the bible. Men compiled and edited all the various and assorted texts. Men translated the bible into countless different languages. For the most part those involved had the best of intentions, but they were all human, and therefore capable of making mistakes.

The Bible is not the word of God, but rather the words of many writers who could not and did not comprehend what was being revealed to them. Why did Jesus come and teach a totally different philosophy if the OT was correct? No, Jesus had to come and straighten the record out. The least of man's problems is sexual orientation or preference. I think God is most saddened by the hateful and judgmental believers attacking others in his name.

OK, not sure what all this proves, but if it makes you feel better. Guess what? I still deny the bible was written by god, I still believe it was written by man. Just because you think that the prophesies came true, doesn't mean a thing. It's all in how you interpret the words, after all look at the words of Nostradamus.

I need to make one small point....and it's not that Jesus didn't exist, but out of your supposed 300+ fulfilled prophecies, half of them say he is the seed of David or Judah, etc. That sort of thing can't be proved, so therefore it is not fulfilled.....We have no way of knowing where he came from, because we have no DNA evidence that he was a king or decended from those people.....even the virgin birth is debatable, because the only proof that happened is in the bible..you have no unbiased sources that can prove any of this...so your argument is faulty

I do not deny that the Bible is the Word of God. I find it continuously amazing that I can feel the need to open my bible and read it and every single time I open right up to passages that pertain to my life at the time or circumstances that are surrounding me or my family and friends. His word is timeless-there is wisdom to be gained by all of it. I don't get why people struggle so much to deny it when all the bible does is teach us to be better husbands, parents, leaders, friends, church members, and neighbors. I have seen its power and will NEVER deny it.

Let's see the Bible was written by 35 middle aged men. I am sure none of their personal opinions got into the scripture.
