I might be going to a new school in the future and was wondering if it's hard to make friends. I've never done this before and feel nervous because I'm kind of an outcast. When I meet new people, they tend to get the same weird impression from me. Maybe its because I don't show a lot of confidence .Not sure if that's the actual problem, but it might be. If you've ever been to a new school, is it really hard to build new relationships right away? I'm kind of shy but can make friends easy. I don't like mean shallow preps and ghetto people that tend to take over schools. If youre nice to me I dont care if you are though. My friends at my old school are all pretty random, part of different clicks. But my best friends and I kind of all stick together not really belonging to a certain label. I know Im boring you but Im really nervous, PLEASE HELP!!!

I agree with the first answerer. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

Also, a lack of confidence in yourself can translate as a lack of respect for yourself, and if you don't respect yourself, others will get the idea that you're not a person who deserves their respect.

Where I'm from public schooling isn't very well so should you wish a well schooling you have got to attend to a personal one. But this particularly is dependent, a few public colleges are very well and a few are very dangerous, simply as a few personal colleges are very well and others very dangerous.

i moved so much growing up, in fact i went to 3 different high schools...and I lived in different cities, states, even different countries and my friends were also very eclectic like yours. My best advice is to be yourself, don't try too hard to impress people or they'll make fun of you...and be a good listener. People like to talk about themselves, so people will like you if you show a genuine interest in their lives. Work on your confidence too-people expect you to be shy, nervous and awkward when you're new, so show them that you're proud of who you are and that you're worth getting to know! Show them that you're fun and happy with yourself...that always attracts people.

Going to a new school is a lot like going to a new job, when you get older. And the best way to get along is just relax, be yourself, and don't work at getting people to like you.
Take your time getting to know people, and you'll find yourself with a great new circle of friends.
good luck!

Just be yourself. You will be attracted to people and they will be attracted to you. Try to participate in an activitiy where you can interact with people. The friendships should come naturally. Things will fall into place. No need to rush them.

I did that when I was 9.
I hated it and it was awful.
Moved from way up north to way down south. (Should pretty much say it all.)

Best thing I can think of to say is, don't try.
Let everything fall into place on it's own.
You'll make friends. They'll find you and you'll find them.

Earn it. Don't seek out friends. It shows desperation and that can be constituted as a weakness.

i have changed schools twice and it was hard at first but eventually i got used to the new schools and it was easy from there. my advise to you is to try to focus on the curiculum and getting around the school first then from there it is easy.
